What are you listening to?

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

New Kaizers Orchestra song. On loop.

Part of a viral marketing campaign. Literally. You could only get it initially by being in vicinity of someone who had it. The tag line was "We're here to spread the Kaizervirus. You will get infected and there is no cure." Pretty accurate.

Love that song. Was just thinking of it reading the sad songs thread.

I've had Queen / David Bowie - Under Pressure stuck in my head for a week or so. Which isn't terrible, because it's an amazing song, but the grammatical mismatch in the climactic lyrics towards the end is starting to get really annoying.
Spoiler:
Why can't we give ourselves one more chance?
And why can't we give love just one more chance?
Why can't we give love, give love, give love, give love. give love, give love, give love, give love...
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word,
And love dares you to care for the people on the edge of the night,
And love dares you to change our way of caring about ourselves.
(Grr.)
This is our last dance.
This is our last dance.
This is ourselves.
Under pressure.

I'm currently establishing a semi-final order for my Samsas Traum* albums and just can't figure out what to do with "Oh Luna Mein". Could be third, fourth of fifth. I guess I'll just throw some dice. No album will be left unranked!

*It's okay, you probably never... oh, I'm not going there this time.

Boston - Boston. Epic album. I didn't realise so many of their best songs were all from the debut album.

Woodkid - Currently listening to his (youtube) cover of Adele's "Someone like you", though all of his music is great.
Um, this post feels devoid of content. Good luck?

Lou Reed - Magic & Loss (1991). There's a couple of tracks on here that are as good as anything from his 70s period. (And a whole bunch of tracks that are pretty weak.)

Mike Oldfield- Tubular Bells

Personal favorite of mine. I also just marvel at the idea that he played, composed, and layered a great portion of the song on his own. They pretty much just locked him in a studio with a bunch of instruments for 2 months, and let him go. It is quite funny, actually.

Polish szanty (sea shanties). I do not speak a word of Polish, but they're very nice to listen to. Right now I have a last.fm station going based on this: Trzy Majtki - Green Horn
Another that I like is Banana Boat - Les Filles Des Forges. They're a Polish sextet, but as far as I can tell that particular song is all in French. I've seen some videos for them doing stuff in English as well, including a version of Day-O (fitting, since that song's also known as "the banana boat song").

if anyone's interested in some interesting electr/dub/jazz, Its Goin Down - Big Gigantic is a good piece. Big Gigantic has a lot of interesting sounds.

For something a little heavier, the next song coming on for me is Resistance March by Break Science. It's pretty chill. (I'd include links but I think this forum frowns on that for new members_). Look both of these song up on youtube/spotify whatever.
Blow your mind with new and creative music.

Peer Kusiv - album freely available from his website peerkusiv.de/downloads/

Really good music, chilled out but with a beat to it. There are plenty more on youtube that aren't on the album that are just as good.

I don't know why, but it's so damn good. So. Good. Even if it's disco/dance-y
