That reminds me of a dream I had. It was quite similar to yours, but the end was kinda different. Plus she was a special agent for the government or something.

It went like this: We were fleeing from some place that was filled with terrorists (actually members of SPADS from XIII). She gradually came to realize we wouldn't be getting out of there alive. We hid behind a counter. Just as I was holding her in my arms, ready to kiss her, a group of terrorists came from the door and killed her on the spot with M4s and whatnot..

Despite of that, my general feeling was not that sad or angry. Maybe because I knew I was about to die too and wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

I woke up before they could fire at me though.

I don't know what happened in it and im not sure if it was last night or the night before, but i had a dream about the perfect relationship. I wish i'd made an attempt to write it down, but at the time (just after waking) i was just enjoying the thought of the dream and how ideal it was. I vaguely remember it being quite vivid too.
Although i can't remember what she looked like at all, but i know she did have a particular look in the dream.

I read in a number of places that waking up early, staying awake for a while, then going back to sleep while thinking about the same dream, has a good chance of inducing lucid dreaming.

I had a dream that I was at my grandparents' house (which looked nothing like their real house at all, but anyway) with my family because my grandma had died. We had to clean stuff up, but it was pouring outside and it wouldn't stop leaking. There was a shower in the kitchen sink, too... I don't know why. So then we left to go into a town and I was riding a bike down a bunch of hills towards a Great Lake with a bunch of cars. But I wasn't actually that good, the brakes were crap and the bike kept leaning towards the left, so I had to lean to the right to compensate. I remember running into a barn once... that was annoying. Then we got into town and we were all in a bunch of little shops, one of which was selling blown glass balls. They were pretty. But then I woke up.

Then two nights ago I dreamed the navy had a submarine spying in the lake in my backyard... that was kind of cool. :D

ok...this one was really weird...

I was at "supposedly" my girlfriends house (except for the people I saw were one of my other friends, and the design of my house was almost just like my grandma's) and I woke up(alone) to it storming, adn then some people rush in and ask me "hey! you wanna go see a tornadoe!?" and I went outside and there was a huge cloud that was like less than 5 miles away...(and coming toward the house) so I was like "no I'll go ahead and stay here..." so, I looked outside, and it began to sprinkle. Then, everyone said we needed to leave for school... so I went to what I guess was my room or somethign [edit] and then it got really dark, so I was like, crap...I think I'm falling asleep and dreaming, so I just tried shaking my head, and the room would get light again, then I kinda stood on the bed for a second, and then [/edit] I looked in my closet for a coat. I saw this AWESOME Hurley coat(that I really wish I did own) and put it on and thought it was so cool... then I, for whatever reason, put on a bass drum(that was my girl friend's, supposedly) and was going to walk outside with it, but then I thought that it would get wet, so I took it off...
then, I went to the living room(which was strangely empty of furniture) and then I saw the bus coming to a stop. One of the kids kinda hid so that the bus driver wouldn't see him. but I stayed in plain sight, and then he came over and was all like "this kid needs to get on the bus now!" and the adult guy said "no, he is only visiting with us, he shouldn't have to" and then the bus driver replied "ok, maybe this time"
then, I went to one of my friends cars and got in and we began to drive, we were going through an extremely narrow space and I was wondering why he was doing it and he was like "I do this all the time"

then, I remember driving down the road...adn that was it...

yea, some weird dreams...

I had a lot more(I slept a full 12 hours) but I can't remember any others right now...
My new blag(WIP, so yes it's still ugly..)

I've been dreaming about food lately. The other night, I dreamed that I was cooking this awesome homemade spaghetti sauce. I still remember how I did it.

Last night I dreamed I was at my friend's house, and we made French Toast. However, my friend put too much egg on the toast and ruined it. I had to start over for my piece of toast.

... Iron supplements do weird things to my stomach, which influences my dreams.

Oh man, if my dreams could write sci-fi novels, I'd be rich.

I'd love to tell you about it, really, but I'm already forgetting most of it, and if I tried explaining, it would take...Well, a novel. There was a lot of fire, explosions, an evil master-mind, a bunch of old people in a theatre listening to a wind orchestra, the leader of which can apparently die and come back to life with a deformity. [Which at the time was his tongue became a clarinet or and oboe or something.] Oh, and did I mention they were squids? [Striking resemblance to Spongebob? Perhaps.] There was also an old...resort, with giant underground tombs and chambers, and a gameboy with Pokemon Yellow. Only, the surfing Pikachu mini-game was...much different. Though, not necessarily in that order.

One particular event I remember was running into the theatre where the band was playing, and stopping near a jewelery counter. Of course, the girl protagonist stopped, looked at all the jewelery, and pulled out a bracelet with about six, two-inch diameter diamonds, all of different colors, and screamed "Oh darling, look! I simply must have it!"

I...Yeah.

I just woke up from a strange one. I was working for the NTSB, driving to the spot of an airplane crash. Suddenly, I found a kickball field on the side of the road, and all of my friends from home were there. They all stopped playing to come greet & hug me. We all moved to the side of the road and were having a grand old time, when an asian girl there, the only person I didn't recognize, said she wanted to leave. I flipped a shit, screamed at her, everybody stared and I woke up.

The humour aspect of me wants to either say that the airplane was phallic, or say "Tell me about your mother."

But then again, I'm not always an ass. Hard to believe I know.

I dreamt that my brother was, for some reason, going off on this tirade about how he couldn't draw and how he couldn't do anything right. Self-loathing pisses me off, so I went to him to talk some sense into his mind. We chased each other around the room (I seem to remember standing on a bed), until I finally had him. He was behind a piece of furniture, like a nightstand, or a pile of laundry, I seem to remember. I grabbed him, intending to lift him into the air, but found that he just wasn't there.

So I called out to him, looking for him. No luck, he'd apparently vanished completely.

Then I woke up. This was an hour ago.

I had a dream where I was going to propose to someone (a random npc, not anyone I know), but I'd forgotten their name, so I tried to find it using her wii.

Then I had a dream where I woke up, and my dad tricked me into thinking I'd slept for a week.

Let's see, mine was an interesting series last night...

-I witnessed a white poacher petition for divorce from a native woman, only to be attacked and scalped
-I saw Robin Williams as the Green Goblin
-I saw Captain Picard add Data to the list of casualties

I always hear people talking about it, but for the first time ever, I dreamt I could fly. It was awesome, though I didn't fly very high/far. The next stage of the dream was me and my SO fighting zombies with chains, and fleeing by diving through plate glass windows. It was great.

I had this weird dream that I was back in the town where I grew up, and I went to see one of my friend's houses (he doesn't live there any more) but the house was gone, replaced by others. It was unusual.

I told him about it today. Chances are that Freudian Psychology indicates it means I want to sleep with his mom or something.

Had a dream where I was a passenger in some kind of plane like a 737, and the first thing I remember is that we were about to crash. I really thought I was about to die. The cockpit door was open, and you could see the ground coming up to meet the plane. I remember thinking "I can't believe it's really going to end...and like this. This is really going to hurt."

I looked back to see my gf, who was 2 rows behind me for some reason, and somehow when i did, the pilot managed to land the plane safely on some road. I couldn't believe it.

Then for some reason, they decided to take off again, and on take off, the plane pulled up way too hard, and was going nearly vertially, until it stalled. Then it just fell out of the sky like a rock and crashed tail first. I remember thinking that the plane hadn't gotten high enough for the crash to kill us.

Pretty much right when it crashed was when I woke up. It was a pretty scary feeling.
On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

I had the longest dream i've ever had the other night.
The large majority of it revolved around me having bad eye sight (Was like bad tunnel vision) and getting confused relatively easily at certian points. This was side effects of long term usage of cannabis and alcohol (I don't do anywhere near as much as the dream implied. Infact I don't smoke it anymore, but still drink on occasions).
It started off with me in a business HQ, on the way out through the large automated revolving doors I was stumbling and finding had really bad tunnel vision. There was another person in the same section at me was getting annoyed or/and worried. I wandered around outside the business and was assured this was real life, as in, it wasnt a dream at all. I resigned myself to the fact that i'm going to be wondering around in a confused state with bad vision for the rest of my life.

I thought about the times I had commented about people disabled people and how the conversations I had with my parents on how I should feel fortunate. The tables had turned and I was now in an even worse position than most of the people that I commented against before (Yeah, I do make racial and jokes against people less fortunate. Although, not to them and not with bad intentions, merely to make comical light of a situation or to find humour in it and only amoung those who think its funny. Also I don't do it excessively, only occasioanlly). Dispite the implications of the position I was in I just thought "Shit happens... I can deal with this" (I sometimes am that apathetic towards important situations/discisions).

This time I was sitting down on my computer, in a state of minor confusion. I noticed I had a virus and thought how strange it was since I have updated windows and decent antivirus. This was a particularly nasty and intrusive one, that also had joke things. Like it changed "Start" to "Begin" and "Firefox" to "Flamewolf" as well as putting the task bar up the top (rather than down the bottem) and everything was strangely opposite but similar. They were a little amusing, but hardly worth the effort for a virus. I was trying to figure out to disable it, but the Task manager was disabled, the regedit was disabled and couldn't access the control panel. After a few mins of trying to fix it I thought i'd best check if any stored info had been stolen asap. Someone had already bought some body building steroids on my ebay account, so i was thinking about closing my account to try stop it asap.
Then popups started comming up, although adblock blocked some of the images, but not all of them. My bro walked in while I was closing them and he commented on how I was meant to be good enough to fix it. At this point, I thought i'd just switch it off and transfer the HDD to another pc and try save my files.
Fast forward to the next day...
I was wondering around the house (This time moderately confused) and there were 20+ alsorted boxes of nuts and dried fruits, on the floor all containing about 1-5kg worth. Walnuts, pine nuts, sesame seeds, dried figs, peanuts, dried banana and others I couldn't identify at a glance. I wondered around and took fancy to the dried banana chips (Don't mind them irl), had a few, which were softer than usual and had a little honey taste. I had the feeling in the dream that it resembled an Indian shop and the walls were a like uneven rock with a slight curve going to the ceiling with a cream kind of colour. After finishing a few bits of banana someone told me that a huge batch of nuts had went out of date because they weren't put in the will (The inheritance kind of will). I wondered why it wasn't mentioned before, as there was like 2 tonnes of nuts and I would have loved to have some of them.

Thats about all I can remember, but its about 1/3 of what actually went on. Tech support in dreams is still fking annoying, as if dealing it in the real world wasn't bad enough.

I had a dream that I went to a small outdoor restaurant on a dock to purchase some fish and chips. The girl who served me seemed familiar, so I chatted with her for a bit. Apparently, she was someone's girlfriend and they didn't like it. This gang of angry guys comes walking toward me, and the leader(and boyfriend in question) is none other than Rufio from Hook.

I was starstruck at first. I was like "holy hell. you are Rufio." And then he swung on me.

So I'm in a melee with Rufio, and I manage to get a solid punch thrown and knock him down. The others start in on me, and I decide to run. Instead of flying, they went swinging through tree branches. I ducked into a movie theater, and held the doors closed so they couldn't get in. After a minute of discussion, Rufio convinces me to let him inside. We talk it out, and we decide that I was only talking to his girl and didn't mean anything by it. We then went to sit down to watch Shaun of the Dead.

Somehow, the dream turned into this Tim Burton-esque version of google maps. I had an overhead view of the nation's capitol, and the trails of money from congress branched out like arteries and veins. Everything looked claymated and surreal.

My dream ended there, because my cat woke me up.

My dance teacher found cancer in my right ear. So I went to the doctor and was put in a baby phat hospital gown. They removed the cancer and told me it would have killed me if I hadn't caught it. That meant I owed my dance teacher I life dept. I somehow managed to save him from Voldemort. Then we taught the death eaters to cha-cha.

This morning I had a dream that I was talking to someone, I think it was my dad, and he looked at my CharlieCard (my Subway pass that looks a bit like a credit card) and asked, 'Is this one of those new iPhones?' to which I replied, 'Yeah, but it's voice activated and I forgot my password, so it won't open. Shout at it for a while, see what works.' And I walked away while this person shouted at my T pass.

Hilarious at 5 AM. Sometimes I wake myself up giggling.

We were in a cave, deep enough underground t hat there were no other sources of light. We had a missing person, perhaps a friend or superious, that we needed to find. Stumbling in the darkness, there was a glowing chip of crystal on the ground. Picking it up, we found it would light up and pulse for me, along with a larger chunk of the same mineral underneath that we unearthed, with an orange light and great heat. The pulsing would change to a solid light depending on the direction I pointed them in relation to each other, so we resolved to follow it and made our way out of the cave to search for the lost friend. I then had to make my way back inside for something left behind.

Then my alarm went off. It was such a fun dream.

The last dream I remembe was a couple nights ago. My boyfriend and I organized a bunch of well dressed friends and relatives into a big pretty hall, and the fools assumed this all meant we were getting married. Silly. I had a veil tossed on to my head, and my sister provided this ring which grew progressively uglier everytime I looked at it. First it was a row of square diamonds, then there was two rows and a few of them were peridot. Then they grew larger and flatter and began to stretch along one diagonal, becoming acute parallelograms. Eventually it looked like one of those jeweled calculators that come back every so often. I told my sister it looked like a calculator. My sister also took away my cell phone and gave me a new, larger, clear plastic, purple one. Anyway, Skippy had been taken away to elsewhere and in the akwardness of the situation I was about to go through with it, when I decided I really didn't want to, and knew Skippy also had no interest. I threw the ring down the isle and took off the veil. Everyone was kind of annoyed I guess. I called my old phone of the new one to try and find it, but my message had been changed. I was annoyed I probably wouldn't get my phone and number back, but I was far more relived that at least I wasn't getting married.

I don't know. I really felt the need to post this, for some reason.

We were, like...Out camping, and then I went..somewhere and when I came back, she was lying on the ground next to the trailer naked saying "I hate me." And then she turned into an insect or something, and crawled under the trailer where I couldn't get her, so I went to the front of the trailer and sat on the tailgate of the truck and listened to Yellowcard for a few minutes, and then I went back to the door of the trailer there was a lock on the step. So, I went inside, and she was in the bathtub, with bubble wrap and soapy bubbles, and I was like "..DD:?" And then I leaned in to hug/kiss her, and she was like "We need spacial space." And I was like "..What?" And I leaned in closer and she said "I'm drunk and need you to call 911. I can't do it. I just can't." And then I started to freak out because I realized I had no idea how to tell them where exactly it was we were. Then I started to realize it was a dream, and I was like "Shit, maybe she needs to to call 911 in real life." And then I woke up.

[I apologize if some of the grammar is messed up. I original typed it to my girlfriend, and had to go through and change all the 'you's' to 'she's' and 'her's'.]

I had this nightmare where the Red Sox sent in Eric Gagne in extra innings in a playoff game and lost by a huge margin.

Oh wait...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

Three nights ago, I had a number of dreams, only two of which I remember in any sort of detail.

The first took place in a swimming pool near where I live with my family, where I was diving in from a position already in the pool. I got a strong feeling that myself and those around me were penguins from the film "Happy Feet", and I think we were diving for fish. I had a wife, or at least partner, and child. Then, a tyrannosaurus loomed at the poolside and it was probably about then that I woke up.

The second I remember slightly more vividly. The first I remember is walking down a wide, straght, red-carpeted staircase as are stereotypically depicted as leading into ballrooms in films. Other people were dotted around. As I was doing this, I commented that it was strange, as I didn't usually perceive auras (or words to that effect). Once I reached the bottom of the stairs, where there were considerably more people close in age to myself, I became aware that the "aura" was in fact a high-pitched keening sound, which changed in volume as I walked around or moved my head. I'm not sure whether others could hear the sound. Either way, I soon realized that it was emanating from a source, namely a closed (possibly locked) wood-panneled door, which I opened to discover a room resembling a biology laboratory from my high school. It was a wide, open room with a laminated floor and benches. The far walls had large windows, through which I could see at least one pair of (featherless) raptors approaching, à la Jurassic Park. I quickly retreated through the door whence I had entered. The alarm seemed to have been sounded, as everyone was scrambling towards what appeared to be some sort of fire exit through a relatively featureless white corridor which reminded me of the sperm duct from the end of Woody Allen's "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, But Were Too Afraid to Ask" and also of the Kamino interior from Star Wars: Episode II or the white internal area where Obi-Wan meets Yoda at the end of Episode III. I think there were more raptors; the place had the feel of being under assault. I woke up at that point.

Edit: I don't remember my dreams from two nights ago, but last night I had one in which many XKCDers were at some sort of convention, and Randall sent us all named, enveloped invites to a party of sorts. Each envelope contained a long rectangle made of card with three windows like an advent calendar: the first had the recipient's name in an elegant script, and the other two had distinct designs of some description. I seem to recall that the design on the middle panel was more minimalist than that on the third. I discovered that the card was similar to those scratchcards you sometimes get free with snacks: removing the panel with my name on it revealed some unimportant text that I forget, while removing the middle panel revealed something equivalent to "you lose". Around me, everyone else seemed to have realized that it was the third panel which was intended to be removed, and were happily celebrating their invites while I stood there feeling a little lonely. A semi-friend from a few years below me at high school, with whom I had been discussing the previous evening (in real life) the XKCD fora, among other things, then received some sort of special invite. I'm not sure exactly how it was special, but seem to recall that he received his after everyone else. It may or may not have been associated with the number 280. I had been watching a stage show by Derren Brown on television the previous evening, and for some reason my friend's receipt of his invite was equally impressive to one of Brown's pieces of mind-control trickery. At any rate, he got to go and I didn't. I don't remember any more after that.

I had an awful dream last night that mt best friend (the one who just had the baby) died. I woke up really thinking it was true and wondering if that's why she didn't pick up the phone when I called last night, like I had called out of denial. I was crying in the dream, then woke up thinking it was true, then cried even more. It took a while for me to separate my reality from my dream.

I had a very strange and vivid dream last night.

I was in my apartment, and there were a couple of loud explosions. They were "elsewhere" so I paid no attention them. Then there was a third loud explosion. This one was upstairs, so I decided to investigate. I went upstairs to find the apartment above mine obilterated, but more like a tornado had gone through than a bomb had exploded, but I know it was a bomb that did the damage. There were two men in the apartment with wild moustaches dressed completely in leather. They got on their motorcycles (which were somehow in the obliterated fourth story apartment) and rode off. There was one other anonymous person there to witness this.

After the leather clad men left, I walked downstairs to find that the police had already arrived. They had asked a few people questions and were about to leave without doing any type of more in depth investigation. They were being completely apathetic and acting as if this was one of those cases that simply can't be solved, because there's no way to trace what happened. I finally convinced them that instead of simply talking to some people and leaving, they should probably actually examine the crime scene and perhaps collect some evidence. They acted like I was some nut, but decided to humor me anyway and followed me upstairs to the obliterated apartment.

When we got upstairs, I started to show them all the different things in the apartment they could use as evidence, like the motorcycle tracks. They all give me an astonished look, as if this type of thing had never crossed their mind. "Wait, you can use evidence to solve crimes? Why didn't we think of that?"

A crowd had gathered in the stair well by this time, and people started to talk in an animated fashion, but I hadn't finished talking yet. Part of the floor and wall had been destroyed by the explosion, and I had a good vantage point looking down on the stair well. In order to get peoples attention, I start yelling. When that doesn't work, I start tapping my foot on the floor. A couple people look at me with wide eyes, then I realize the floor is giving way beneath me (weakened by the explosion). The floor collapses, and takes me with it. I ride it like a sled down part of the stair well, but am completely uninjured. I brush myself off and go back up to the obliterated apartment.

By this point, the police have started to catch on and are beginning to gather evidence on their own and piecing together how these two men gained access to the building. About that point things start to go fuzzy and I wake up.

It's very uncommon for me to remember a dream this well. It was neat.

Something about ninja ropes (as in worms) and my house. It's all quite fuzzy, though.

I was sitting with a bunch of friends, and two of them, my best friend and her boyfriend, got in an argument with a manager of wherever we were, and they start freaking out. Their anger gets so intense that their faces started contorting like they were androids caught out in the rain. My best friend's boyfriend starts shouting something and then grabs my forearm at one end with one hand and tries to grab the other end, intent on snapping my arm. I remember that he had seemed to think this would send a message to the manager. I try to fight him off, but he's bigger and stronger than me. He gets a hold, and just as he's about to apply pressure, my best friend realizes what he's going to do and tries to push him away, giving me just enough time to wake up in a panic.

I think this one is rooted in an event a while ago when some bad stuff happened and this guy, in real life, and he started flipping out. Granted, he wasn't very violent, but I think it still freaked me out.

I was somewhere, I thought at the time it was MIT, but don't remember enough to be sure. there was someone trying to kill me, so obviously I was trying to not get killed. It actually felt like the last part of HP7. and there was a bus driver who spoke to me in XML. I don't know how that worked as far as making sounds. whow, this is vague.
