There's a metaphor for something in there, but it sounds pretty bleak...

So how about -- It's a cuddly layer of bunny fur atop a chocolate mountain?

Amazing. Thank you for the present present.

And Helper and others have returned as well! Welcome all.

This is honestly the best thing I've seen all day.
Thought I think I deserve a mention. Maybe in the empty second-to-last frame.

Speech! Speech! Speech!

Wait Helper can't post his speech because then it would be 401 posts! Maybe in an edit instead...

Is it proper etiquette to insert a retroactive "penis"?

It is, but you have to be careful, otherwise you end up with a retroactive pregnancy, and of course a retroactive baby. Which is dangerously close to 'radioactive baby'. Which would be awesome.

Anyway, 400th is edited.

A glow in the baby would be AWESOME!!! Also thank you for the thank you.
but if the baby is radioactive won't it get... cancer?

My first thought was that the grey was soil, on top of the sand. Then other thoughts came along, the last of which is that those are hairs of some giant beast (perhaps a turtle) carrying the world they've been on. Perhaps coma will bring enlightenment.

This was my first thought as well. But, M&C are also lighter, which caused me some trouble.

I like the Randall error theory. The animation was compelling. But, would be very surprised if that was the case. So, I have no theory I like at this point.

Ok. I'm confused. Again.

Could it possibly be, a visualization of depth? Maybe the black in the foreground is the sea and the grey is the land? It's what it looks like to me, but I really don't think Randall would draw like that...

Now that I'm back:

I loved Blitzgirl's "I love the whole thread". That was amazing! :D :D

All that has been happening in my absence has been overwhelming. I think I need a moment to catch my breath.
