Alright, post-coma and post-workin'-for-da-MAN-obligations, I can now post a ketchup wall-text 'o replies below:

Spoiler:

Ok, so, I admit it. I have not read all of the parodies. I think I've figured I'll have Time someday. But somtimes, for no reason, afer I click on the spoiler, I decide to skim it anyway. And as it turns out --- [/Golly Gosh Darn Gee Wiz ROFL UMMYAH DONTREMEMBERALLTHETHINGIES]

ACTUAL ROFL! MWAH!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

As opposed to the deep, rational, and scientifically-accurate meaning in every other aspect of the OTC?

Nice! And, you know, the "Yubby dibby biddy bum bubba deedle dum" is probably the easiest thing to understand out of all that Cueball's actually said...

Is it possible that What-if # 42 (http://what-if.xkcd.com/42/) is giving us a hint as to where they are?

Of course this assumes that sunsets aren't simply occurring inbetween frames. But this seems unlikely.

You're assuming there is a sun. We haven't seen it, we haven't seen a shadow from it, and it hasn't been mentioned in any M & C discussions. For all we know, there could be very long row of 60-watt bulbs dandling above their heads, just out of frame...

The OTT is also very heavy on new-arrivals to the xkcd fora. Pre-Time memes don't hold as much impact for us -- we like to make our own.

Great. So with that still in my mind, I took the NewFrame of "It's still rising" as Megan checking out Cueball's... um, "stick-figure", as a lead-in to, well, nevermind...

Maybe they'll fail to find a ford, and instead build one out of sand to fill the empty part of their life they were attempting to fill with a car.

We should have a poll of whether they find a ford or turn back, and see if Randell responds to it

edit: the great thing about this would be that if they do what we said it's incontrovertible proof that he reads the thread, and if they don't then he's obviously just fucking with us.

I was browsing random comics and came across this:

So was the point of Time to generate longer thread? Are we just another subjects of Randall's experiment? Will the Time end when the OTT reaches page 547? (Just 31 pages remaining! And we didn't even start in 2004!) Is flow of Time considered as perpetual motion?
Time. The final frontier. These are the voyages of Cueball and Megan. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

I think the question you should be asking is, do we care if we're part of Randall's experiment? He is the Lord Randall, keeper of the One True Comic, his whim is our command!

I'm surprised how many people were commenting on my coma-deprived analyses that I wrote between 12AM and 1AM OHT (Outsider Heretical Time). I guess I've found my niche :D

So if I'm correct, the newest non-spoilered image-spoiler is on page 164 posted by Sano (I was using old Sciscitor's list that was quoted and sorted by date), so Vytron is no longer in real danger. There are still some newer ones hidden with spoiler that doesn't very explicitly say what it hides, though.

(Idea: we can also warn time-travelers in signatures or by editing our posts that are just before the ones with spoiler)

Edit: My 100th post, woohoo!

Except such a poll would still not provide the incontrovertible proof jovialbard hopes for. I mean, with two options we either predict correctly or incorrectly. And Lord Randall, whether or not he reads/follows the thread, can choose as he pleases. It would just come down to chance, not anything with any power to prove.

Sorry, the debate is already settled. They found me.

And while we're on the subject of "Ford" being a fairly uncommon name, I just found out that there is another "Ford" at the company I work for. Except that is his first name. Too bad his last name isn't "Steven"; that would make it somewhat noteworthy.

I came across this song the other day and couldn't stop thinking of this thread. May have fit better when the Reckoning was still going on, but I think we're plenty mad either way :)

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!
Originally by Napoleon XIV
Tune here (Not the original, but I like this mix)
Spoiler:
Remember when you had a whim to build a castle on the sand and I helped
out because it looked like fun?? Well...
We kept on building up and then the sea got bigger and bigger and now you see
our hard work's destined to be gone.. And..

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!

You thought it was a joke and so you laughed, you laughed when I had said
that the sea level was coming in the end.. RIGHT???
I know you laughed, I heard you laugh, you laughed you laughed and
laughed and then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad... And..

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the happy home. With sand and water and sand castles and Megan and
Cueball who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!

I built a tower, I crenelated a wall, and this is how you pay me back
for all my kind contributions to the castle.. Huh??
Well you just wait, they'll find you yet and when they do they'll put you
in the OTTOT (One True Thread Of Time) you crazy hat!!! And...

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be happy
to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming

Except such a poll would still not provide the incontrovertible proof jovialbard hopes for. I mean, with two options we either predict correctly or incorrectly. And Lord Randall, whether or not he reads/follows the thread, can choose as he pleases. It would just come down to chance, not anything with any power to prove.

However if the next frame has them looking at us and saying "What do you Think?", then we'll know.
Knight Temporal of the One True Comic {bestowed by BlitzGirl: NP 1315}

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocations of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

Or alternatively, if Cueball turns to Megan and makes a dumb joke about perhaps finding a Chevy instead of a Ford. To which she responds "Or maybe a Mini-Cooper?"

That would be definitive proof.

Sorry, the debate is already settled. They found me.

And while we're on the subject of "Ford" being a fairly uncommon name, I just found out that there is another "Ford" at the company I work for. Except that is his first name. Too bad his last name isn't "Steven"; that would make it somewhat noteworthy.

...or Prefect!

Or they could attempt to dig under the river / divert its flow.
