Yep, me too... I was reading a post and suddenly I saw his avatar change to one with a hat... My first thought was "What the... How... How did buffygirl do that in realtime??"
It took me a while to realize it was an animated GIF. :)

I know, when I first saw it change, I thought I just happened to be looking at his avatar at the exact moment he updated it. Then it changed again. I thought he was just being indecisive. I was confused.

:)

And I like the one you did for Buffygirl! (Ok, at first I typed "buggyfirl.")

I know I'm a few newpages behind (had to mini-Blitz after stupid work stuff), and that a lot of people have already replied to you, but I wanted to add something that wasn't really said. There are even some of us who have been in the OTT since the beginning, through every twist and turn, posting Sigcouragement to BlitzGirl on her journey, during the Madness, in the Rot13 pages and the Haiku pages... and who still post and hardly ever get responses. We know your feel, bro. ;) It happens, especially when there are several people all being witty and replying quickly to each other. They tend to get caught up in their own back and forths, or the newpix posted, and pass over random things. Just keep posting!!!

It seems to me by the position of her backpack that Megan is facing away from us... so if they are going car shopping and she's facing that direction with a purpose, that means the sea is behind us. Of course, she might just happen to be a few steps out of the screen and is actually facing-ish Cueball in the two-and-a-halfth D, but that would be reading too much into it1. Clearly the river source is in front of us, into the screen.

Re that noob's question about colourising the Comic: what could be automated is turning it into a colouring book - my photo editing app can turn a picture into an outline drawing. Then we can get our kiddies to waste timewait for it by applying beige and blue and whatever other colours they want within the lines. The family that waits together, gets It together. (Sorry I couldn't remember your name; noob's a term of endearment in this Tread).

And

For a few pennies each, we could hire one of those factories full of youths in China, like where they farm gold in World of Workraft, to join the forum and blather nonsense 24/7 (longpix) because 100 pages a week is paltry.

And

There's no vegetation on this planet, so what are they breathing? Was it mostly helium before the plants freed the oxygen? If I'm right (and there's a first time for everything) they will have squeaky little voices and every time there's some text we can have a giggle.

Edited to add third part, and then this part.

How does she know it is still rising? At the castle it was obvious. Now, they are much farther down the beach. Is there some marker of where it was? Erosion? Salt deposits? (It all seems to be sand, so neither seems likely.) And, do they know enough to understand the meaning of such things?

Also, there are rocks somewhere. They threw them with the trebuchet. Or, Megan stuck a ball of sand together with the same stuff she used to reinforce the first dyke.

I am behind, so apologies if this has been discussed.

If you have nothing to say, don't make a post. Please. I don't want to have to alert a moderator about this shit.

I would like to Point out, Hal9000, that your post is off topic and has nothing to say...
But so is 20-80% of this thread :)

Clearly the river source is in front of us, into the screen.

Since Megan suggested they go down/upriver to look for a ford, it implies that they can't see all the way to either end of the river, and thus their universe has enough depth to merit a full third dimension.

Oh well. At least we still have our sandcastle.

I agree, and the reason we cant see into the distance is because of really close fog barrier... or the planet the reside on is considerably smaller than earth because the horizon is really damn close.

Just out of idle curiosity, has anyone recreated this in minecraft yet?

Just make sure that your posts actually contribute to the discussion (regardless of whether or not the discussion matches the topic of the thread). A post that says nothing other than "blankpost?" is little more than a way to add to your post count.
ETA: this goes for everyone, hence my decision to deal with this in-thread, as opposed to via PM. We don't want this thread being chopped up by the mods, as with "Pressures."

No but I have a FTB Ultimate server, I am sure I can put together a builder blueprint that can crunch this out.

It might work in Terraria as well.
