@Valarya: I'm so glad you read and liked it. :P That's my favorite blog of all time. Keep reading and it won't disappoint!

EDIT: Hooray! Grabbed the ONG and simultaneously kicked off my 4th papacy! This rule shall be marked with blood, fear, and terror...

Or, well... that sounds like lots of work. Let's just fill it with cake instead.

The first thing I found searching for "Pope Cake":

Attempting...

Postby hbarsquared » Fri Jun 07, 2013 5:04 am UTC

Long time lurker, first time poster, everyone.

I've read ever comic, starting from Barrel - Part 1. The first one I discovered was sometime in... 2009?

Holy crap, this "quote-unquote" Time thing is still going on...

Every other day I take a look at (the site that updates with every new image, but because I'm a new user I cannot link it, perhaps it's aubronwood) to find the story still unfolding.

Panel 1900, is it?

At any given point in this constantly evolving storyline, I feel I am only a quarter of the way through the whole thing, the ultimate vision. For how many months/years/decades will Randall take this thing?

I've skimmed snippets of the thread. *sigh* Now to travel back in Time to the beginning...

See you in the Future...

Ah. Okay, that makes sense. :) However, it's a little off, since the first newpix of Time I actually saw was newpix 248. I wasn't sure what was going on in the OTC, so I hopped on the OTT. Then I wasn't sure what was going on in the OTT, so I decided to read it all. That was when the current Newpage was 173. So, 269 Newpages blitzing, 353 in the Present. Yikes.

The OTC first appeared on: Newpage 001 / newpix 001/ 2013-03-24H
Began blitzing the OTT on Newpage 173 / newpix 248 / 2013-03-30H
I arrived in the Present on Newpage 442 / newpix 967 / 2013-04-29H
And my current Present is Newpage 795 / newpix 1898/ 2013-06-06H

I gotta say, the speed of blitzers seems to have really picked up. Of course, back when I was the only signposting blitzer, I got a seaish amount of sigcouragement, and took it upon myself to respond to or note every instance. So I ended up with 40 signposts along my blitz, and they kept getting more and more seaish as Time went on.

Originally, I was looking at this from the perspective of how much of the OTC I had witnessed in person (in the Present), not how long I'd been blitzing. So I've only been Present for 931 newpix out of 1898, which is still less than 50%. In 36 more newpix I will reach that 50/50 mark.

What if Time, all of it, the whole OTC, was a single, incredibly long, incredibly detailed proof of the Collatz conjecture? It makes perfect sense! M&C have been looping, just like collatz sequences inevitably loop back to 1, they take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back, and ...and...

Time to coma, I think.

RetrievONG the pack.

For my history with the OTC/OTT:
I was actually quite active in the early pages of the OTT (KarMann once asked me on a date!). I couldn't stand the madness, and also was avoiding a bit of an attempted flame-war by someone who didn't appreciate my theory of Randall having established the comic long in advance. So, I took hiatus for a while. Lurked for a very long time, basically keeping up with things, but not commenting again from NP 146 all the way until NP 640.

Wiki-Quest Update

Finished the new wiki page for the tree stumps period and did a little editing to the Periods page. Meant to also create write-up on the Chirp period, but that one is going to take quite a while, and I still need to do a lot more research and analysis on both the minute molpy movements and on the overall observations of the OTT during that rather lengthy period, and I think I must need check out for now, so sometime within the next 24 newpix, hopefully I'll have a chance to create that page as well.

--end update--

I hate to leave mid-papacy, and during the Vulnerable Times, when often there are few others left on the forum (like about 24 np ago when I was all alone on the forum!). Therefore, I appoint higgs-boson the Papal-blessed Watch-caregiver Person of NP 795, to watch it and make sure we suffer no silence, lest the faith be discontinued. The Papal-blessed Watch-caregiver Person of NP 795 is also hereby vested all papal rights of ceremony and decision-making for the remainder of the page, should it finish before my return (and it most likely will).

EDIT: Dang it. The minute I post this, higgs-boson disappears! Oh well. Looks like I revoke the title and hereby award it to spamjam. Bless you.
EDIT2: Welp, there goes spamjam too. Whoever posts to nab the title gets it.

Haha, but a simple script can invert all of that to give me:
((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))))((((((((((((()()((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))((((((((((()())(((((()))))))

Your move :-P
Does any of this make any sense? Can you balance a close by putting an open afterwards?

Took one chance to step back in, and it's a good thing I did. Only one other non-guest viewer right now. =( Is this loneliness to be my existence every 24 newpix? (Also, nobody ever accepted that title I offered...)

Firstpostbump (it's been quoted, but not bumped in its entirety):

Welcome to the OTT (One True Thread), hbarsquared! And good luck Blitzing it.
(Indeed, we're over 1900 newpix. Pretty soon, we can start marking people's birth [heresy]years[/heresy].)

You're not the only one. I always want to contribute more, but I barely know code and my creative juices are dried up. I guess I just provide just a little bit of randomicity. I'm not sure how many posts make a newpage, but I have probably contributed maybe 4 pages possibly. Or cake. Yes, cake.

Hiya!

I expect you'll now be ketchup-ing only after comas then. Or when that pesky real life gets involved.

Featuring our very own Megan and Cueball too. Of course, we know the kinds of things they've actually been spending all day doing and thinking about of late.

Very interesting... It has 'Time' in the title and sounds a little like what we're doing.
Titled TheMinimastic as of NP 1610.
