Anyone like me and wondering where the people are? Aside from beret girl, we've not seen a soul. It seems...creepy. We know that other people exist as well from where they are from, but the inhabitants of this region are either hiding from them (and doing a good job given the lack of cover) or...?

Perhaps this building (looks like a crude brick structure to me) will yield clues.

Another possibility for the "open window". Maybe it is a white painted shutter. After all, we don't think of Cueball's head as being just empty space. (Well, most of us, anyway). We may learn more next np.

Maybe there was a plague.

Or the zombie apocalypse.
And apparently, I'm pope. I decree that everyone should refer to everyone else by names different than those of the people they are referring to.

We may never know, alas.

If they walk in front, we will see the white circles of their heads, as with the bushes in frame 2197.
If they walk inside, hopefully they'll say something to inform us of it.

I read them too! To clarify, I meant you hadn't commented since the original "any thirds" post which was a perfect set up for you (but wasn't actually that long ago at the time)

To the tune of "Music of the Night", from Phantom of the Opera:

The Music that We Write

Spoiler:
Waiting sharpens, heightens each sensation;
Molpies stir and wake imagination;
Discovered through enhances, as Comic time advances.

Slowly, hourly, newpix are revealed here;
Waiters mention references concealed here;
Turn your face away from the garish light of day
Stay upon your quest to be Temporal Knight;
And listen to the music that we write.

Blitz the Thread, if you feel you're missing something here,
Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before;
At the end, you've read all that came before!
And you'll wait, as you never have before.

Softly, loudly, waiters produce wonders;
Many pages, never pulled asunder;
Heresies bring candy, our modus operandi,
And flamewars quenched because we cannot fight;
Instead we share the music that we write.

Let our thread watch a journey through a strange new world
Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before -
Let Lord Randall take them where they should be!
Only then can they learn about the sea.

Outside, worldwide, time is passing faster;
No-one here can wait forever after;
We must sing today, create beauty straightaway,
Like the buttermolpyfly's amazing flight;
We do this with the music that we write.

You alone can make our songs take flight;
Help us make the music that we write.

Beautiful! I'm loving all these ottifications of musicals. Now someone do something from Les Miserables and I'll be a happy molpy!

Well, Max, that's entirely up to you. Papal decrees are apparently optional, after all.

Maybe not their heads, but possibly the packs. Here they aren't in front, but if they'd left their packs behind, how would we know?

We need a secretary of commenting so that no post goes forgotten!!!!!

He can live in a dark, dank cave with little light, in tattered clothing and squirrel friends to bring him crumbly food... That should help him/her deal with the task.

But then who would comment on all of the secretary of commenting's comments? And then who would comment on all of the comments on all of the secretary of commenting's comments? And then...

Never fear, I am still reading it all (and I'm sure I'm not the only one so we do have redundant redundancies). :D :D

I'll guess crickets99.

Oh yes, it's quite the slippery slope.

:wink:
I was actually quite disappointed at the lack of waterslide smileys in the interwebbery.

EDIT: Whoops, completely missed the papal decree for the newpage (this was a speedy one). The newpix turned this into the page of hello-memes instead of the page of referring to people by different names. My apologies to pagepope LargestMalfoy.

So here's a more obscure reference:

Diddlydum. Diddlydiddlydum. Diddlydum.
Diddlydum. Diddlydiddlydum. Diddlydum.

Yes, we are, and always have been, a rogue organization. It's funnier that way.

But who punishes the Inquisition? Me?

Oh, eventually, I'm sure an angry, pitchfork wielding mob will form. In the meantime, the answer is, "Other Inquisitioners". If you look back, the inquisition has always accepted punishment where it was applicable.

I see... are there other inquisitioners?

You sure? It looks like an HP calculator to me (aither a big one or Cuegan are smaller than we thought)

Reminds me of an HP-12C (but the display is completely wrong).

You, yourself, I should hope. And I'll second anything you have to say.

Anything? Sweet sassy molassy, we could make some mischief out of this one....

Lucky for charlie I renounced evil or this would sorely tempt me. Image

Speaking of evil, I wrote a new short side-story to TLTW ala An Origin Story: (still untitled), a.k.a. Solving the BlitzGirl/LaPetite Paradox Using Calculus, Algorithms and Data Structuresclasses.
