Does Cueball kiss Megan on the forehead after he's done binding up her leg? That's sweet!

Edited to add: I'd recommend not trying to kiss me on the forehead, or at least being very careful with the quills.

So what now? I know we all (well, most of us, probably) want them to kiss – Megan and Cueball, sitting in in a tree ... – but then?
Can they move on, with an apparently serious wound on Megan's leg-stick? And if not, can they even go back?
Or are they going to have to stay here for quite a while to recover. And if so, what does that mean for the OTC? Speeding up of Inside time, perhaps with a fade? Jump to a different scene, such as the beach (with LaPetite)?
Or is there going to be another plot twist? Is there somthing mustardy just off-screen to the right, just waiting for the right moment (this time) to enter the screen?

Edit: no papal orders. Can't think of any.
Edit2: no longer pope, so good thing I had no orders.

The original was not linked to, so I just read the words and enjoyed it at face value. The words reminded me of the rickroll, but it never occured to me that the rickroll was the original!

Did I just square-root-of-minus-one-rickroll myself?

Megan's a champ!

Postby BlitzGirl » Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:21 pm UTC

I don't think Megan's injury was very serious. She called it "claw marks," and though there was a lot of blood, apparently it could be fixed with a sandcastle-flag bandage. She also has not remarked on any pain, or her injury actually hurting at all. Plus, it will heal even faster if Cueball kisses it better. (I thought the frame where Cueball leans his head in was just that, and not a kiss on the forehead, but it's difficult to tell.)

Isn't the skyrim soundtrack awesome? So atmospheric and soothing. I listened to it while trying to fall asleep on a 5-hour plane ride (and in the economy section, with a stomach aching from airport food, that's no small matter!)

That would be pretty impressive, if she'd simply slapped the raptorcat hard enough to make it go away. Probably not as forceful as a good thwack with a piece of wood, however, because a plank has less give, and also an extended reach due to the length of the plank means more angular velocity at the end of the plank than she could get from her arm alone.

That's kind of a funny thing for someone to say, unless they're being intentionally "romantic" or writing a sappy love poem or something.

Though maybe she's simply compensating for our lack of color perception, using flowery language to fill in where she presumes our imaginations leave off.

Blindposting from NP 874 whilst still in the [heresy] Outside. [/heresy] There's sooo much to ketchup when I get back.

This is the longest I've been without the OTT and am feeling all ya'lls absence like a missing tooth. Prediction: in the next frame, Megan will decide to make it into an American flag. We will learn something interesting about the geographic, temporal, and societal context of the OTC, and something extremely disturbing about Cuegan's bodily functions.

(Did anyone else have the Great Muppet Caper line "what color are their hands now?" leap into their head when they saw Blitzgirl's question?)

Agreed. Maybe we'll still get what we all seem to be hoping for (the kiss, not Megan bleeding out!).

Sounds like fun, where are you located?

Utah. TONS of ghost towns in the 4-corners states. Yesterday's hike was a bit of a bust. Not nearly as many accessible remains as anticipated, though we did see, I kid you not, a cairn (really just pile of extra rocks used for making rock fences in a rural Jewish community in 1911 that ultimately failed).
In Svithjod, there stands a rock. It is 100 miles high and 100 miles wide. Once every 1000 years a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak. One time, I changed just the last sentence of this signature, and lots of you noticed. Image

It's going to be pretty wary of them after the good whack Megan got in. But if it's hungry enough, it may stalk them hoping Megan will weaken or Cueball will wander off alone.

Someone, I think HAL9000, had a dozen in a row. I've never been close. I like to try and predict the appropriate ONG text beforehand so that it is at least a bit relevant. Harder now at the edge of a frame. And harder when they were in danger of falling.

It is indeed true that at one point, I got 12 consecutive ONGs, and somehow didn't notice until someone else pointed it out. Though I will admit that I sometimes post the image with a simple "ONG," and then edit in a description of the frame's events that includes the letters "ONG."

I suspect the latter. A thread this seaish could be intimidating in that even if one's post gets responded to, finding that response (to continue to participate) could be a challenge, especially if the response does not include a quote.
From the "other" thread it appears that we are intimidating, probably by size, and also by unique vocabulary. Being in with the crowd you want to join means following their social rules. It's hard to get across as an impression to others that there isn't a requirement to speak OTTer, but just to be friendly (or grumbly) and share. Or lurk. :(

It's now covering a timespan of about 800 newpix. The wowtrees look tiny...
Some retouching required at the fence to make it look neat, and scaled down to 75% because FF starts to not like the size...

Edit:
Oh no, I was so preoccupied with Gimp for the last newpix that I completely missed Azule's version. Sorry! Didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Retracted.
Thanks for not deleting anything. Others may want the "full" panorama, so no worries. I, ironically, wondered the same thing: if someone else had posted the panorama yet. I actually had this done 3 xip ago, but I had to ketchup before I posted so I didn't step on your toes. lol.
Spoiler:
P.S. If you save/convert the file to grayscale (instead of full color) it will be smaller in filesize and more true to the original images.

If you read this sig, post about one arbitrary thing you did today.

I celebrate up to six arbitrary things before breakfast.

Ah well I guess I can't stop

Had to get myself a post on page 907 tho because that's what I call home :) and even though I'm not living there anymore I'll probably never change my cell number.

ETA: Megan moved her arms a bit. I had to flip back and forth to see it.

I imagine it could be difficult to understand if someone came in at this point. They'd need to read through hundreds of pages to fully understand what we're talking about sometimes. Also, some people feel the need to start from the beginning for any thread.

Yup. Image

I can see how this would be intimidating with the OTT, considering it's four times as long as it was when I set out on my Quest to blitz it all.

As someone who lurks in the background, usually checking in less than daily, I can confirm the thread is a bit intimidating to an outsider.
