I was going to suggest earlier that that was where Cueball buried Megan, but was afraid of the backlash I would get for being too morbid. :P

Wow, a Dr. Seuss book I've never heard of before! Sounds perfect for Time. I would do it, but I don't have a copy.

I got to experience once again the awesome Every New Frame’s Awefulsome in its reprise. Awesomeful ZoomanSP!

Hrrmf, hmm... *wakes up* Whoa, is it just me or has it gotten dark in here?

Holy Randall, the blackening is upon us! I seem to be getting into the habit of missing the big stuff while a-coma...
Anyway, I think I know what's going on:

Every New Frame’s Awefulsome

Now, if you can't prognosticate, that's ok in the OTT
But if your memory's weak as well, you'd best consult the Time-wiki.
The nested quotes will make each post a struggle getting brackets right.
All flames are quenched and this is why we haven’t seen an ugly fight.

We were prepared for epic battles fought with tiny trebuchets
And LaPetite’s return was almost missed due to the fading’s haze.
Though wow-trees probably suggest a Madagascar set by far
The wiki page lists arguments for Randallverse or Africa.

They want to find out if the rivers influence the sea at all
But all they have found up to date are big hills and a wowterfall.
I recognize my coma-schedule's gone and help will never come
But put me down as “Waiting for it” – every new frame’s awefulsome!

Dilgunnerangs are used for drinking, Cuegan do not use a mug
The steambottle’s a no-go; it just makes them want to utter “ugh”.
Cue’s too ophiophobic to consider herpetology
And Meg can't stomach any part of her self-picked weird-tree-berry.

While flashy things give twitchy eyes, hence spoilering is what we choose
A poetry degree is earned for double-dactyls and haikus.
The inquisition likes to use hot chocolate and the comfy chair
(The punishment with S&Ms for heresy is very fair).

By hatting people’s avatars, we show our creativity
And cupcakes seem to taste best when they’re relished with an OTTidy.
In terms of ingenuity, a greater thread will never come.
Just put me down as “Waiting for it” – every new frame’s awefulsome!

YES! I've always thought an ottification of this song was needed, especially since GLR parodied it himself, but couldn't think of how to do it myself... As I mentioned way back, I've done a parody of this song before, so will DEFINITELY be up for singing this one too! Wait for it...

Could the Randallverse (yes, I think I've become a believer in the Randallverse in later NPs) be going through a phase transition? A collapse from a low entropy two bit structure to something entirely different and chaotic. Maybe even a full 32-bit colour scheme!!! In that case this could be the end of the Randallverse as we know it, and our only hope is to run for our lives, in circles, madly waving with our arms and shouting "The end is near", or maybe...

Whew, another all-day ketchup! And now I sit here worrying about our dear Megball. Where are they? Why haven't they appeared in the frame? Why is Megan not feeling very well? The feeling I get scrolling through the frames... Megan says she's not feeling well, Cueball points out that the cat is still around, and then suddenly the scene changes and the sun starts setting with possible smoke or fog rolling in? It feels rather foreboding. Again. Well, I'll just have to...

Spoiler:
Why do you bother clicking spoilers when you already know what they're going to say?

Wait for it.

Well, welcome back Hal, StratPlayer, and Valarya.

Yay, Megball is back! Oh, how I've missed you! *pulls them into a warm hug*

I predict that if we do see stars, we will also hear chirps as a few of them flicker.

I don't think it's a camera/lens flare thing, because there is no camera, and suddenly pretending there is one and going into the technicalities of what they do to images would just be confusing. Also, given that they obviously have experience of the night sky being dark, I've gone off the idea of it being the first time the biggest sun has gone down in their memory. I still think that once it gets quite dark we'll see a tantalising, near-invisible hint of something and then switch to the beach or the mountaintop was ninja'd by an ONG. I guess I'll just have to

I wonder if they'll have anything insightful to say about the darkening.

On an unrelated note, I just reset my Firefox because it was having problems and...wow...one or more of my addons must have been slowing it waaaay down, because it feels a lot snappier now.

Well, if we're going with the camera theory, it should get LIGHTER as the camera compensates for less light. Not sure why it'd go darker.

My new theory is that whenever we've seen them coma, there's been a night between frames, but this is the first time they've continued walking through the night (because they want to get help for Megan as soon as possible) so it's the first time we see nightfall.

Indeed! No reason there can't be two competing standards ottifications of the same song.

Maybe someday. It's hopelessly out of date (notice Aluisio's old avatar) and is definitely tied to a particular era of the OTT (the Fading). Plus, of the 36 total frames in that comic, I've completed less than a third. Zooman's wonderful ottification simply reminded me I had it languishing in a documents folder. And since IT'S ALL RELATED, I thought I would let you xuys know about it.

Up to now the consensus is that Time frames depict a 2 1/2 D universe, or a 1/3 q slice of a 3D universe. If this is so, then the sun is just a few cm cq behind the tree and is really small. Same for the "sky", which I bet is made of some sort of mustard.

@BlitzGirl: Treeish Future present present! I'm looking forward to it (assuming you continue, which I hope you do!). And now we get to speculate on how it is that you do them in the first place!

... and I think we're seeing a sunset for the first time because for the first time it's important to the audience.

In many video games, the skybox (including the sun) is rendered independently of the rest of the level geometry, including ignoring the clipping plane. It could still be a slice, just with a visible sky behind it.

I lack Image’s fancy artistic skills or Image’s vocal talent (maybe they want to give it a shot?), but nevertheless I present you as a Present Present:

Every New Frame’s Awefulsome
(based on the OtherComic "Every Major's Terrible", to the tune of "Modern Major-General")

YES! I've always thought an ottification of this song was needed, especially since GLR parodied it himself, but couldn't think of how to do it myself... As I mentioned way back, I've done a parody of this song before, so will DEFINITELY be up for singing this one too! Wait for it...

Yessssss! I looked around for you earlier hoping you'd re-sing this version since you did one for your other forum.

And yay to being on the list for a smiley!

Yaaaaay again! I hope you continue working on it, BlitzGirl. It'd be an awesome compliment to the other OTTification of it and two versions are always better than one! And yappo can sing them both. ;) Cause I just nominated him.. lol

I'm so glad Megan is OK. I can now leave work in peace. *wipes brow*

Sorry for mushing your brain. Image Actually, I can't really update the ottification. Here's why: to create it, I took the list of unintentional OTT haiku harvested by Angelastic, snipped out a syllable to make them fit the original, then took pairs of rhyming (or near-rhyming) pseudo-haiku and used those to create my version of the song (hence why there's a different OTTer for each of the original-line frames). I kind of ottified myself into a corner, I guess. Image
