I speculate the Beanies are sitting down for lunch, having found a conveniently shady resting point.

My favourite period is probably the one where they found the abandoned campsite. It told us something about there being other people in the world, something about where Megan and Cueball had come from, and some fun dialogue about learning. I also like the follow-on to that period, when Megan and Cueball had a continuation of that discussion not long before discovering the cabin of raptormolpy attacks.

Although The Attack Period is undoubtedly the most exciting, and once it is no longer so immediate I suspect the meeting with the Beanies will become my favourite period as it seems to be expanding the scope of the OTC.

Trees

Postby BlitzGirl » Sun Jul 14, 2013 7:45 am UTC

O-T-Trees
(with apologies to Joyce Kilmer)

I think that I shall never see
A newword lovely as a tree:

A tree in which the chirpies nest
And Cuegan visits on their quest;

A wowtree tall, from far away
Knows what it's doing, it's okay;

A tree that's neat with branches fair
Or weird, of foliage nearly bare;

When castles rose on shores so plain
We looked for such grand trees in vain.

Words are made by fools like me,
But GLR can draw a tree.

Aww, that was brilliant! Image

If this is to be a tree-y newpage, here is a very silly song about a tree.

I know they're probably sitting in the shade for lunch. But I prefer to think that now they will all join hands and sing a song to the tree.

Clock check--

Cueball got up almost 100 frames ago, Megan about 10 frames later.

And it's a day's journey to the wedding cake/ziggurat/SS Minnow?

I REALLY hope this is a late lunch...

Megan said it was less than a days journey. So depending on how acurately the beanies drawing is I'm guessing it would be an eight hour journey since there was space either side of the image of the drawn "journey" . As for what time it is now it could be any time of day since time between frames is not consistent. It could be lunch, a late dinner or even only an hour after they left(they might have decided to take it slowly because of Megans injured leg.)

But, since it is a meal, it implies more journey afterwards.

And another opportunity for GLR to show Beanish has passed. Since when do human beings (even stick figures) eat lunch without saying anything?

I haven't seen it answered yet why that fully white frame #2611 was followed by a normalish frame? What was it's purpose? (I'm not aware of any film tropes like that.) I hope the future contains (or will now contain) this answer.

Edit: Okay, I was going to go coma, and therefore be in ignorant bliss...but now #2615 is blank too!? Hmm. Seems like a film technique now. Shutterfilled.

Interesting. The word for this food is very similar to the first word in the phrase for the healing paste.
The difference is that the healing paste name has a '3' in front of it, and this word has a bar over the curvy-omega.

Well I'm just guessing here but maybe it's something alcoholic. The reason I say this is that the paste thing may have been alcohol based antiseptic produced from whatever spirit/brew they make.

The ointment is goose grease, and they're eating goose?

Or perhaps a coincidence: they put a poultice on the wound, and are eating poultry.

It's almost certain that the bar means an interpunction mark, a fullstop in this case.

:shock: It wasn't medicine they put on Megan's leg, it was a garnish! They are cannibals!

If it's an herb, then the two usages could be similar to "mustard plaster" and just "mustard" -- although no one just eats a wad of mustard for lunch. (My apologies for the strong language.)

Or, the Beanie isn't talking about the food at all, but inquiring how Megan's wound is.

Snakefish was described as “something from a bad horror movie” by US Interior Secretary Gale Norton.

Cueball already said what they were eating: "It's good". So the new Beanish word obviously means "good".

Sometimes it will involve going back to the beginning, if the beginning is where one's Great Void commences. However, there are those who, having experienced the Beginning of Time, and also the Latter Stages of Time, for one reason or another have a Great Void in the middle of Time. Filling that Great Void by reading it all in that extended segment the One True Thread is certainly a Blitz.

Well, since you're the one writing the 0 Acts of the Clerics, and being the one giving the Official titles of BlitzGirl The Next, I think whatever you decide counts as Blitzing should be canonical.

As per my view, it's not about the post length, or about what the person is doing, or about their distance to the present, or percentage of thread read: it's about intention. If one person does have the intention of reading it all, and it's reading the OTT, then they're blitzing. If they don't have any such intention, then they're just ketchuping (if reading the pages they've missed recently) or mayonnaising (if they jump directly into the present to read stuff just posted and comment on it) or fry saucing (if they both have pages to read that are very old, and do advance them occasionally, but also react and read the present in real time) or blindposting (which is compatible with all the others, but most people tend to keep their ketchup long (even if they lose all their stuff they were replying to now and then...) so by the time they post it, they're already in the present - so blindpost tend to be short, and mayoblindposts tend to be replying to stuff from a long time ago, like this one) or BlitzGirling (making SignPost to be meet in the future in the style of blitzgirl, usually with a brief description of events that happened in the pages you read and its own dose of ketchup, but it can also be done with people not reading it all that just were left behind dozens of NPs recently and are catching up) or treking (with one 'k' - making progress by reading more pages than one is left behind, so one eventually ketchups the present, compatible with all other methods of posting) or BlitzQuesting (which is just reading it all, and can be done in all sort of ways, including just posting "hey, I read it all" as first post - I think all BlitzGirls the Nexts have done it, except for The Slow, limping one...)

Where was I? Oh yeah! I hope that never gets standarized in anyway! they've been used interchangeably anyway!

Falalalala, chupacabra ping pong ball! United we stand, opposed to standards!

Spoiler:
I know it's Ni ni ni ni... but, that's the standard! So I'm using a nonstandard way to oppose them...

By the way, has tman2nd appeared on a Acts Of The Clerics yet? I think he has read it all!

*goes back to treking*
Go! Go! You can do it username5243!
Cheers Marsh'n!

Then again the salve could be "(strong)binding paste," which could make the word "binding."

As in a marriage proposal. Which Megan, by repeating, accepted.
and hilarity ensues.

Until wise old Jerry Garcia Beanie sorts it all out in the end.

Note To Blitzers:It is advisable NOT to go past page 1130 until you've seen up to frame 2900 (Geekwagon Numbering). A lot is happening, and really, you do not want to skip ahead at that point.
