There's a live link to the current frame at the top of the thread. No way to hide that it's over.

They won't see that from the middle of a blitz. We've been very careful to preserve their experience. Don't wreck it.

Okay, now what do I do? I could watch something short, like the first fifteen series of Last of the Summer Wine or the complete run of Numb3rs, with Shogun to fill in the corners ─ but they just won't hold my attention for more than a week or two, I'm guessing.

I've known this day would come, and I've known it would hurt, but, oh, mustard, I feel bad.

I too want to thank GLR for the wonderful ride he's taken us on over the past several months. But I have to say, the ride wouldn't have been half as much fun if it weren't for the people travelling with me. There are so many of you I have to thank for this -- mscha, for newpixbot and his wonderful viewer; aubronwood, for his viewer as well; buffygirl, for her hats (including mine!); sciscitor, for the constellations and all of the "visualizations"; kieryn, for all of the amazing charts and animations; pikrass, for the "scripts of Time". . .and of course, BlitzGirl, for being the heart and soul of the OTT.

And yet it's not fair of me to single out just these names, because of ALL of the contributions everyone has made to the ride. It wasn't just one or two people who wrote all of the OTTifications, the double-dactyls and haikus, drew the fanart or created new emoticons.

This has been one chirp of a community.

I'm standing up and clapping for "all y'all".

Delurking to say goodbye and thank you to everyone. I have been following since day one and this is a sad moment. If I had to pick an ideal time for the end it would have been around frame 861 when they have built their castle and are standing on it watching the sea start to wash it inevitably away. At the time that seemed a particularly poignant comment on our relationship with time as human beings and it still remains a high point for me.

If anyone could describe what Time was to us, I'd say it was a road movie and adventure, that turned into a disaster movie towards the end.

I realized in my earlier message that I'd failed to say where in the world I am.

So ... any interest in having a group of Timewaiters grab some bags in the mid-Hudson Valley in New York and head off into the hills that the River flows from to see wowterfalls, molpies, and generally find things out? I don't understand anything yet! (But that's what the first part of not understanding everything looks like!)

(PM if there's interest. Time can be flexible. Duration, distance, and amount of rock scrambling can be adjusted to the abilities and desires of the participants.)

I think having Timewaiters grab bags and make one or more treks upriver to find things out would be an appropriate salute! So c'mon, let's molpy up and do something!
All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full.

I think it's fine if you want to keep it in your sig, though directing blitzers to look at it may make some of them (the "no-spoilers-please" purists) feel like they were being baited. And the commandment's for all of us, too!

I'm too numb right now to think about what this means. I'd been expecting it, but it still came as a shock to me.

I think I'll start the mourning process tomorrow, when I wake up.

Or perhaps in a few minutes, when 22:00 BST comes and we'll see what happens next.

I can't imagine how many people are looking at XKCD 1190's page right now.
