- Someone comes out of the castleraft and says, "Where'd everyone go? WAIT FOR ME!!" Fade out.
- Rosetta and a few Beanies walk to the shore, see the raft and walk back into the forest looking for Cuegan and their maps.

Wishful thinking, but I'd love to see more.

That seems a little unfair. Without Rosetta (and her maps), the Cueganites would probably have died. (They wouldn't have known to keep going UP after they reached land.) And Rosetta didn't try to stop them from leaving, even though Megan stole her maps.

I picture Rosetta shaking her head sadly as they run out, knowing they'll likely fail but still hoping for their success.

Well, I'm going to coma early tonight. I have no doubt there will be all sorts of shenanigans in the interim.

But I got to see the first frame, and watched the story unfold. I waited for it, and paused, and ran, and paused again.

I even had a birthday while the show was still unfolding.

I'm happy with the way things turned out. Let me know if it isn't the end proper. And if it is, I will grieve with thee in the morning.

A good way to make this thing whimper would be if absolutely nothing happens other than the water moving from now on. People would very slowly and gradually accept the ending at various rates. GLR could program a way to make the water move randomly instead of looping, and we'd never know for sure.

Interest would fade slowly, and some dedicated fans would continue checking daily, then weekly, then monthly, and certainly at the 1-year anniversary of the comic's beginning and "ending".

Well. I appear to have ketchupped just in time for the end of Time. I was expecting it to end soon, but not this soon.

I think Randall was, indeed, getting tired of drawing. The rush back to the village, preparing the raft, the night, the floating, all happened too fast. I'm not as upset as somebody else, but I am somewhat disappointed that the question of where and how the Cueganites are going to resettle doesn't seem to have been properly resolved. And I'm disappointed that it didn't end with "I wonder where we'll float next"... though since it's updated again, maybe it still will, perhaps at Randall's midnight? I can hope.

Anyway. Wow. Well, it was nice Waiting with all of you. I'm not leaving this thread just yet, of course. I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with my first (and only) ottification.

The one blitzer, the one the GLR loved, began blitzing early, but the other blitzer blitzed faster. When the faster blitzer caught up to the present he saw that the alt text had changed. He was confused and afraid, because he had seen The End of the OTC, and did not yet understand the prophecy. Blitzgirl was there waiting, for she had come to post her final thoughts, and she said "see, they have come and changed the alt-text". Then the slower blitzer caught up, and they all viewed the OTC, and they saw the raft had moved, and then they saw the steam bottle (ugh) not with the raft, but set aside by itself, wrapped in yurt covering. And they saw and believed, for they did not yet understand the prophecy that the OTT would be eternal.

Thanks, richP. A gospel for our Time mass, which is a project I had wanted to do mips ago. :)

Rule110 wrote: I hope the people of this thread stick around for a while. I think there's room for some new OTTifications, further critical thoughts, and other creative stuff now that there is an encompassed whole to work from. (Consider, for example, book discussions, that don't normally even start until the book is not only completed, but read in its entirety by most of the correspondents.) Knowing the audience isn't going to disappear right away would encourage more creativity. I for one pledge to keep up for at least another week, probably longer.

This. The comment was often made that the OTT sometimes seemed more important than the OTC. Well...it was, really. I mean, it's what made this comic special. It's what sucked up hours of my life (in a wonderful way!) When I was away from the OTT, I would genuinely miss you guys. And I for one would hope that it wouldn't just die out right away. What about the OTVO project? Is it no longer meaningful if Time has ended? I still want to hear it. And I want to hear taixzo's and yappo's soundtracks. And I have some things I was planning on working on next week when I finally had some free time. I still hope to post them.

I live in Santa Cruz, CA. I will welcome any of you that want to visit. And I don't know how we could do a meetup, as far-flung as we are, but it would be great. I will be in upstate New York at the end of August, but probably won't have much time as I'll be helping my sister after her surgery. (Apparently breast cancer now runs in our family.) But hey, PM me if you do actually plan to get together.

But "The End" went away. What does it mean? I guess we'll...
I can't say it.

On the topic of remaining in this thread or not:
I don't know if that's entirely the best idea. This subforum is for discussing specific comics and things directly related to them, so I think if we do continue posting here, it should try to stay much more on-topic than we have been; otherwise, if someone wants to make a comment on the comic itself, it may get buried in our ramblings. There's a reason there are other subforums. If we want to continue interacting with others from this thread (I know I do, for sure), we should start another thread, and leave this one for discussion of the comic.
Of course, discussion of the comic is still a pretty wide range and there's still much to discuss. The Wiki still needs more work, there's Beanish to decode, image-manips and song filks to be created, etc. But I'm not sure if it's the best idea to keep all of our wildly off-topic discussions (e.g. {not pointing fingers, these are just the ones I can come up with off the top of my head} pluralization, infinities, regional dialects) to a minimum here, and start a new thread or find an existing one if we have a question that doesn't relate to the comic.

I guess I'm not the only one to have to say,What!?!?!? Say it ain't so, Randall.

I just got home from work and was doing my now regular OTC ketchup on mscha's viewer, when I got to frame 3089 and 3090. And "What, 'THE END'????"

Now what folks?

I'm sad that I wasn't here "live" with the group. I guess I'll have to do the saddest ketchup in the history of the OTT just to see some of the suggestions.

Yup, now I'm crying. Don't worry, it's not your fault; it was only a matter of...

As another (mostly) lurker, I feel exactly the same way. A big standing ovation to everyone in the OTT. You made something awesome into something special.

Seriously. I wish I'd known about this forum and this thread months ago. What's been going on here has been just as amazing as the OTC. I wish I could have been more a part of it, but as it is, thanks for being awesome.
C'mon, let's see what's through here!

Knight Temporal of the One True Comic {bestowed by BlitzGirl: NP 1315}

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocations of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

So, I made my first post here just a little while ago; I've gotten a little over 100 pages into a blitz, and I've been in a coma for the last little while. And now this. Its only been about a week for me, and I still feel like I was a part of something awesome. I still plan to finish my blitz, maybe by the time I'm through there will be something new.
