The weepend comes to us again
It's back to take its toll
The OTTers cannot help but wait
No wait can be worse than before

So take your mace
The fire will creep
Be ready for what comes
This game will be over again
Just like it did before
'Cause
TIME will move on and not wait
No wait can be worse than this one

Happy 7th mipday, Time! I would bake a cake or an ottifact or two, but it's almost 5am and I still have to finish this chirping coursework...

I do however have clear evidence that a bunch of people standing by the road in fluorescent jackets slows the traffic speed by 5-10mph, which is the sort of thing that only a certain kind of person (read: engineer) would find interesting but I'm going to share with y'all anyway.

The presence of a police vehicle has the same (if not greater) effect on many drivers. Which is stupid and annoying.

The pessimist in me tends to assume everything I do is boring to others...

It does make it difficult to measure something properly when your presence alters the thing that you're measuring.I'm sure that applies to other fields as well.

Eternal Density wrote:The presence of a police vehicle has the same (if not greater) effect on many drivers. Which is stupid and annoying.

Indeed, especially as they can actually enforce speeding laws. What's more annoying in the UK is the traffic wombles officers, who aren't police, can't book you for speeding, but still cause the slowdown effect.

(Are the Wombles known internationally or are they too quirkily English?)

Yes. Specially when it's due to human error.

Oh, and I don't know the Wombles.

Speaking of writers: I may need to rewrite TLTW. Once again I'm led to believe connecting that universe to Gibraltar's is the best course of action.

I've heard of them, though I'm not especially familiar with them and haven't seen the name used in that manner before.

I'm fine with people keeping to the speed limit (or below as conditions dictate) but it's silly to do 80 in a 100kph zone because you're driving past the cops.

Aaaahhh, that feels better!

It seems you folk have had quite a scare there... but I never thought the End of Time would end. Faith is important in these dark times. Faith is rewarded in Great Abundance. I bless and commend newpixbot for its actions in delivering the Message of the Mustard which tested our faith, and also for keeping the faith, continuously checking as the ongs silently went by.

BlitzGirl on the other hand, of all people, has suffered a serious lapse of faith.
BlitzGirl wrote:Since this is the end of the end and all, I shall...
It only goes to show us that we can all fall down, because we are but riverish creatures in the face of the Great Lord Randall and His Creation, and even of His Creation's creation. None of us is immune, and it is humbling to to think that even BlitzGirl herself can stumble. But if She can, so can we all. Let us not let hubris take hold, but remain, each of us, humble and forgiving.

BlitzGirl, arise, see the Awesomefulness of GLR's Creation and of its Creator, keep the faith, and Wait For It, for you are worthy of it, and it of you. It will be around for all of us, even past the End of Time itself... for a hundred years, and for a hundred centuries; for all time, and for all of Time.

I think the present rate of one per four-ong is right. It would be heretical to post them ongly.

June Bug is back! Yay! Double yay!

Ximenez - stay away from those green things!!!!

@ergmanI clicked on your ottification link, but I guess I have to 84 it.

Better check the basement for green things. You might need an exterminator. You could try giving them c**kies. They are also evil and maybe they will destroy each other.

OTOH it may lead to a spork scenario.

Go BlitzGirl!

Welcome Metazoan! - Careful of the green things. And don't step on any of the remains... dunno if they can get in through feet either.

Welcome back slinches! I'd warn you about those same green things, but being a slug yourself you probably know more about them than we do.

@StormAngel - Cool Fax Blues! Wingish and treeish at the same time! Broken too! Thanks for sharing!

@balthasar_s - I think it's safer on the moon. Wait - the moon is made of green cheese. These things are green. Makes one go "hmmmmm".

HES wrote:Just popping in to summon Valarya back to the thread
Was the Blitzus Summonus always green? There is something very suspicious about this. Be careful Valarya! Be wery wery careful!

yappobiscuits wrote:Phew. BlitzGirl missed the pun I made before molpying down *mischievous giggle*.
She missed a few of mine upthread. I'm not telling her where. But I think her scrumptious donut covered it! As for your... hatting... and otherthinging... of these green things, I say sacrilage! You're making them up like otters. Where are the S&M? The comfy chair? The soft pillows? Dracomax! We need you! Fluffy!

@Kieryn - treeish data stuff you're doing! Of the non-parsable ones, how many were due to frankenposts? (like this one!) I noticed that your poetry algorithm missed XXIII. It should have met the criteria, I think. Regarding the QI, you might want to also consider (perhaps separately) references; sometimes @somebody is just as much a reference as a quote. It would be interesting to see if @somebody references start to become more popular as time goes on, and if people with high QI also have high @I. (or if the relationship inverts over time)

Treeish!

@HES - I've never heard of wombles.

Somewhere in there was posted a link to Bach's Tocatta and fugue, played by feet on a huge floor piano keyboard. Very treeish, whoever that was!

Whew! This condiment is getting to be like the old times!

Bloody hell...are y'all still here? I was unfortunately incarcerated in revenue-generating activities but came back to my One True Home to regain a grip on reality.

Thanks for being.

Yeah... I'm going to wait and see what comes of the relationship between azule's green hat and c**kie hat before I attempt large-scale c**kie introduction.

And clearly the scrumptious donut didn't do as well as I'd hoped as far as dissuading your punning.

You misunderstood. I'm using strikethrough to prevent the infected from seeing what I'm really saying. If you can see this text, you're clean. Now I have to find a way to finish the post without the infected noticing what I'm up to. add some jokes to the Hotdog.

I don't think I'll be adding 'safety hats' to the Hotdog.

Postby Eternal Density » Fri Oct 25, 2013 5:08 am UTC

Code: Select all

## 2.5
- I (might) love waffles
- Second Chance improved
- Locked Crate description improved to fit some usage changes
- Added some W badges
- Extra isFinite check
- Window Washers in the Château
- And recycling! (not quite complete: needs a button to power it up further)
- Took the easy way out of the stats-space issue, for now.

ETA you know what's silly?
"KilomNP"
I should fix that.

Another silly thing is that because I was adding a WWW badge but was already up to WWW, I also added one for WWWW. But by the time 2.5 was done, I was already up to WWWWW. Well I figure it's not called Let the Cat out of the Bag for nothing :D (though the 'limit to a fraction of total castles built' thing sure isn't working. Because of flux turbine I figure. I've been through 2 more rifts today which has made it even more overpowered :D :D :D :D)
