Looking forward to seeing 12 Years a Slave and Catching Fire, will probably see the Hobbit #2 though I was underwhelmed by the first installment.
Hmargh. I did not know any of these (except Catching Fire) were out. Bonus: I don't know anything about that slave one, but sure, I'll desire to see it. To talk about them: Nothing wrong with the first Hobbit, it's 1 out of 3, when originally it was 1 out of 1. You can't expect it to be fully fleshed out and useful on its own. Ender's....I am afraid to be disappointed on a childhood book adaptation, but what'ya gonna do, just gonna watch it. Catching Fire, the first was surprisingly good, so the second will also..or will suck. We'll see.

I know Orson Scott Card said he had to adapt it to fit better as a movie...I'll reserve judgement until I see it tomorrow, I suppose. I am excited, though. It should be a good action flick even if it doesn't stay true to the book.

They actually went with a script written by director Gavin Hood instead of Card (interesting article about the Hollywood development-roller-coaster). I read a lot of movie-spoilers beforehand so I'd have a rough idea of the movie's changes, and I think that helped me like it. The general sentiment I've gotten from talking to fellow book fans is that the movie is decent and worth seeing, but the book is much better (as is so often the case with adaptations).

Only if you also decide.

o/` Did you ever have to make up your mind? o/`

Thanks for the heads-up on Gravity. Looks great from the trailer. I think I'll see it flat though - 3D has rarely enhanced a movie. I did see an Imax space film in 3D; that worked out pretty nicely, but the huge screen probably helped a lot. I think 3D needs that kind of scale to work.

I do think astronauts are made of tougher stuff than the trailer portrays though.

Another excellent movie (from a while ago - 2004, but I saw it several years later) is The Butterfly Effect.

@yappobiscuits - Awesome Vitssagen album cover! Gotta make that album!
@k.bookbinder - treeish costume (in a treeish area!) Were you just monking around, or did you go off to a party or something? (and what did you do to that kitty?????)
@Eternal DensityI see you are still wearing protection. They tell me that's a good thing to do. Of course, they also tell me to wear a green safety helmet. You can't believe everything you hear!
StormAngel too. Love the pic from a younger, more innocent time, before we had to consider brain slugs!

I feel like vending some hotdog:

## 2.89
- Fixed Molpy Down/Coma button layout :P
- Tool Factory glass display
- Improved detection on when to recalc glass rate
- New high level Logicat reward
- Completed missing Bacon feature
- Updated Tool Factory description slightly but significantly

I haven't finished all the stuff slated for 2.89 but I felt like releasing some, so there will definitely be a 2.891 and possibly beyond, before I can start on 2.9

ETA hmm the 'improved' detection isn't.

I think something's epsilony with the newpixbot countdown in the hotdog. Does anyotter have an issue with theirs? Or didI entirely break castle tools? Could have. Or it could be a Castles to Glass issue.

I was going to report it - but it could just be Castles to Glass - but it is annoying not to have the countdown.

Could we have a few more levels of factory automation for high npb trades?

@ucim The picture was taken before my wife and I went off to a little gathering of friends. I no nothing of this kitty you speak off

@blitzgirl You too!

My wife and I have a long drive home (10 hours), and a short-ish hike (2 hours) as we are planning on hiking the Chimney Tops trail in the Smokys on the way home. OTTer on everyone!

I think glass ceilings are broken in relation to the DoRD Department of Redundancy Department of the DoRD.

Could we have a few more levels of factory automation for high npb trades?
a) either way I'll fix it in the mornip.
b) no

I was listening to the track We are the others from Delain and I felt that it had to be OTTified. The outsiders are not as crude as is indicated in it but I didn't want to wander to far from the original text.

We are the OTTers

I'm reading the forum tonight,
She lives through the text that I read;
I can't get it out of my mind
How you were ignored to death
Was it how you talk?
Or what you draw?
I can't believe
How they could act so negative ,
Without regret,
We will not forget...

We are the OTTers,
We are the cast outs,
We're the insiders
But you can't hide us,
We are the OTTers,
We are the cast outs
You're no longer on your own
If you feel mistreated,
Torn and cheated,
You are not alone,
We are the OTTers
(we are the OTTers)

As simple as air in your lungs,
As simple as words from your hands,
And no one should take that away,
No one should have argue this
Now with our heads up high,
We'll carry on,
And carry out,
That we won't let them get us down,
Or wear us out,
'Cause we are not alone...

Outside is not the norm,
It's just a uniform...
(We are the OTTers)
Forget about the norms,
(We're the insiders)
Take off your uniform,
(We are the OTTers)
We are beautiful,
(We are the OTTers)

We are the OTTers,
We are the OTTers.

Some Halloween artwork for y'all. Inspired by mikrit's version of the Vitssågen filk, and the style of Finntroll's artwork.
(Only thing not drawn by me is the border.)
(Yes, that's BlitzGirl with troll ears.)

⁴!
A bit too late for Halloween, but this calls for a weekend jigsaw.
