Spoiler:
At first I was just waiting for it. Then today I read on the Boosts page that I needed a mould to be failing 100 times, so with some regret I hit the button for my Newpix 832 glass mould to start filling. It immediately devoured my glass blocks to get 0.25% of the way to completion, and stalled thereafter.

That was this morning. My Factory Automation triggers 17 times per newpix, and usually another 17 times if I'm home to click, which was most of the day. I've also gone through probably about a dozen logicat levels and clicked heaps of redundakitties. Shouldn't I have seen it by now? Or does 100 times refer to 100 ONGs and not 100 mere Factory Automation runs? Or do I need to do something else?

Once it has failed 100 times you can get Break the mould - I did the same error - not on as high a number as 832, but still far too high to be made with current boosts.

ETA: Ooo Pope again - Other things called Time...

That's the whole point of CSS. If you do the semantics right, the CSS only adds prettiness.
I agree... except, I have no idea how web apps - more accurately games - are supposed to be semantic. HTML was made for textual presentation.

Epsilonly I missed the post you are quoting. So, yeah I know, that means I did it right :D

As for html, it's grown beyond the original design, which is why tags like <i> are now frowned upon.

I wouldn't be here if I was in the basement. (The house does not have one)

My home office used to be the garage, though sometimes I work elsewhere around the house/garden.

Yeah, I didn't realize what the filling would take when I started the making of the mould. Sigh. Sounds like it'll be another 2-3 days before I can break it then. Okay, I know how to wait for it. Thanks! :)

My 1) is earlier, but my 2) is the same. I do find that the wolpies are a very effective alarm clock, which is why I'm generally up around the same time every dip.

It does depend on why you are late. Establishing a routine helps. Planning things the night before so you don't have unexpected things to deal with helps. Allowing more time for when there are unexpected things. And caffeine.

Jonathan Coulton is first mentioned as an example of a mis-parsed haiku, unsurprisingly by @Angelastic. I was surprised at how few times his name appears in the OTT, given how often his songs, etc. are referenced -- for example @BlitzGirl linked to JoCo's "IKEA" song on NP375, with no mention of his name. So here's my List of References to Jonathan Coulton in the OTT :

Well, if the Quantum leap is over one of the higher dimensions (spatial dimensions 5-13) then a quantum [distance] is about as far as you can get.

Still working on the mini-hotdogs. They started out easy, and then got more tricky. I don't know if I'll get the hotdog hotdog yet.

azule wrote:I agree... except, I have no idea how web apps - more accurately games - are supposed to be semantic. HTML was made for textual presentation.
The presentation of the screens in the hotdog (or any web app) is a text/grapics document, and that output contains semantic meaning (this is a list of things you can do, this is a list of the things you have, this is a paragraph on the back describing the circles and arrows...). If the HTML identifies the semantic pieces correctly, it will be arranged treeishly by any standard (even ancient) web browser, since that's what they do. CSS merely gives visual style to the underlying semantics.

Re: 1190: "Time"

Well, SInce I was expected to sing, I went with the OTTification I was currently working on:

The last 5 Newpix, song 3:
See We're Smiling (based on See, I'm smiling from the last 5 Newpix
Spoiler:
I guess I can't believe you really blitzed
And that we're watching TIME tick down
See, I'm smiling
That means I'm happy We’re all here

I stole this image from a pastry shop
It makes me recognize post count
See, we're laughing
I think Cuegan are gonna work it out
I mean, we'll have to try a little harder
And post things to and fro
To make this thread as special
As it was a hundred newpix ago
I mean, they made it back from the beanies!
Who knows where else they can go

I think we're really gonna like this arc
I'm pretty sure it doesn't suck
See, you're laughing and I'm smiling
By a river that is flooding
And there’s a raft
We've not gone daft

I think we both can see what could be better
I'll own when I was wrong
With all we've had to go through
We'll end up twice as strong
And so we'll start again this wipend
And just keep posting along

I didn't know it had to end so soon
I thought we had a little TIME
Look, whatever, if you have to
Then you have to, so whatever
It's all right
We'll make it right.

You know what makes us crazy?
I'm sorry, can we say this?
You know what makes us nuts?
The fact that we could see together
post together
Sharing our ONGs
Waiting for TIME
And you are gonna choose someother strip to work on
No, you are
Yes, Randall, that's exactly what you're doing:
You could be here with us
Or be there with them
As usual, guess which you pick

No, Randall, you do not have to sleep or have outside life
on the same fourty-eight hour newpix you already do
You could stay with The OTT until it’s chirping doomsday
And you could, GLR forbid, even post in here
And I know in your soul it must drive you crazy
That you won't get to come up with stranger ideas
No, I'm not, no I'm not!
And the point is, Randall,
That you can't spend a single dix that's not about

Science and math and romance and art
"Mahvelous" novelist, you!
Isn't it wonderful, just XKCD
The savior of webcomics
Science and math and romance and art
Miles and piles of art
Pushing through windows and bursting through Java
En route to the sky
And I...

I swear to GLR I'll never understand
How you can post comics straight and tall
And see we’re crying
And not continue Time at all

Being that it was meant to be sung by a woman, and apparently not Disco(Hey! I don't remember the 70's! I'm told that nobody does!) I have been chased by a crowd of angry teenagers and twenty somethings. this world is strange, and I have a sudden craving for cheap, fast food. It would seem likely that I should not have eaten the brownies before attempting to perform in a genre I don't remember.

The good news, such as it is, is that I apparently can still see and post in the OTT, but it appears not to be visable to anyone else. The bad news is that even trying to warn Aluisio's doppledragon is going to take years from my current date, and I'm still not sure how to get back.

...perhaps I should have thought this through a bit more.

Treeish, Dracomax!

Here's a snack for you – I'm told this should still be edible by the time you pass by in 30 years.

I used to know Sir Tim well many years ago we often had lunch together - he's a bright lad. (late 1970's - we both worked at the same place, I was in the same team as his first wife)
