So, after a looooong weekend of mentally fighting off the brainslug collective and attempting to learn to control the host body I appear to be attached to, I've managed to do two things which I hope have altered the present enough to stop the Apocalypse that was occurring when I initially began this journey. First, I introduced an irritant into the brainslugs which Should stop them using Aluisio, or any dragon, as the weapon of war that he was in the initial timeline. The destroyer of worlds and conquerer of Asia will hopefully not be created in the new timeline. I can not predict teh actual effects though. it is possible Xe will become a mindless killing machine. The risk is worth it.

Secondly, I have managed to install a pathological fear of pumpkins into the brainslug empire, and transmitted this information to SHEEPLE. I hope...

BlitzGirl wrote:That can't be good. Would a pumpkin help?

Then it will have going to been worked? I have created a weapon of use against them? I can only hope I have not changed my own personal timeline too much. The good news is I should still be in coma during these events.

I will attempt to install a posthypnotic trigger in Neil_Boekend to allow him to break through and away from the brainslug after I am gone. I do not know how well this will work, however, as I have seen some indication that he has been working with the brainslugs willingly and preparing the way. Hopefully, the fact that they betrayed and enslaved will provide the necessary mental disconnect to turn him against them.

I hope I trigger whatever causes me to leap soon, as this hat is very cramped.

ETA:
Sometimes I think wierd things. this may be one of the reasons I am uniquely suited to fighting brainslugs in the mental space. as an example, this mornip, I came up with the following headlines, that I expect were seen or heard on newscasts in the early DC universe:

Man dressed as a Bat fights clown in Gotham underground
Man in red tights fighting flute playing man in green tights
man in bright colored tights with a cape seen beating up millionaire Lex Luthor
Woman in slutty Halloween costume in Altercation with Furry
Robin Hood seen attacking crime!

I hope these avatars are being archived, it's quite a story they tell.

Was this whole Timescapade just to deal with the brainslugs? I hope there aren't any unintended side-effects.

In at least one timeline, the timecapades were begun to rescue Chronosdragon. there is some indication that all the dragons in the OTT are being effected by something which may or may not be related tot eh fact that we really shouldn't exist.

Of course, time travel and shifting presents mean that all of that may not be true, or ever have been. it's not so much of a river as a big, timey-wimey ball....

Well, I'm currently lost between times, with no idea where, when, or who I will end up next.

And a penny deposited where I was, about 50 pages back will have only earned you $.0001 after compounding interest continually.

As an aside, and since I know there are some techies here:

My Antivirus is set to expire in a week or so. I'm looking into new ones.

Right now, I can get Bitdefender total security 2014 for $55, with a $55 rebate.

It looks good, but I don't really know anything about the company, other than having heard the name a couple of times. Does anyone know if it is worth it?

I don't know anything specific about that, but my question for any of those products is what will they do for you if something does get through? Creating evil is always ahead of reacting to it, so any that won't acknowledge the possibility of an infection even if protected are off my list. There are a couple that say you can pay a fee to get help, and they'll reimburse you if the infection was due to a failure on their part. I can't say I'm completely happy with it, but I use Comodo on all the computers I'm in charge of, specifically because they'll provide support when an infection occurs.

Well, I have seen a few reviews from such sources as PCmag and Cnet that claim to have installed it on infected computers and gotten them uninfected(this was done on purpose, with specific infection to test the software) I also beleive there was a support line mentioned in one of the reviews.

It's not just about having a support line. It's also important that they provide actual support without first insisting on a credit card number. (Which they might, I don't know, but I've had that experience with other anti-virus products.)

Aren't most antivirus viruses themselves? I've never had a good experience with any of them. Try Linux + Firefox/Chrome. (Obligatory plug.)

Good idea for all when creating subject titles.

If I ever get a new computer, or a new screen for my laptop, I will be running Linux on one of them. too much in the Windows architecture to get rid of it completely, and don't trust an unknown to me system enough to jump in completely even then.

I've had okay expereinces. right now, I really just want the lightest one that will do a good job in keeping the win7 box I have at home running without too much virus interference.

That's true, actually. I should have been more accurate. "And HES also said something on whatever page that was that made me laugh even more than his posts usually make me laugh."

And done.

It's just treeish to see a post from you! Hi!

BTW, I visited the Wiki to see exactly what the definition of molpish was. I didn't find one, but I did see that there's an entry for RAZOR and it talks about me! Wheee! That made my day.

Interesting. The quote box says cat, your post says car. Which is it that needs to be warranted as to how fit they are?

And that gif is purty. And I love the word duneleapish.

This is what I was worried about...

While you're back there, would you mind dropping a penny into a savings account for me?

Ooh, and buy me a share of IBM stock, or Apple stock, or whatever other stock people are always saying they should buy. Oh, and I don't remember what era you're in, but if you come across a Honus Wagner baseball card and Issue 1 of Superman, do pick up a couple of those as well.

Oh, he was never that far back? Well, maybe CD can do it if he reads this.

I see the Minim has had a very productive day!

For the pope: I will check my music for that one number that I always seem to get lost in. And I will make my first entry in the Wiki.

For the pope: I will post the next OTTification in the Last Five Newpix.\

Moving too Fast
Based on Moving too fast, in the Last Five Years
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7wzhmGNUeo
Spoiler:
Did I just hear an ONG start ringing?
Did I see blitzers go flying past?
Though I don't know what the newpix is bringing
I've got a singular impression
TIME is moving too fast

I'm gliding smooth as a figure skater
I'm riding hot as a rocket blast
I just expected it ten comics later
I've got a singular impression
Things are moving too fast

And you say, "Oh, no
Step on the brakes
Do whatever it takes
But stop this fade
Slow, slow! The tide’s coming in"
But I say: No! No!
Whatever I do
I barrel on through
And I don't complain
No matter what I try
I'm flying full speed ahead
I'm never worried to walk the seashore
I won't do anything just "half-assed"
But with the trebuchets throwing things higher
I've got a singular impression the OTTs moving too fast

I found a concept I love
And I found a forum who loves me
Things might get bumpy but

Some people analyze every detail
Some people stall when the sandcastles fail
Some people post pixel changes in detail
But I keep postin' on

Some people can't get success or a hat
Some people never figure out where they’re at
Some heretics get in the chocolate vat
But I keep postin' on

Oh, oh - maybe I can't follow through
But oh, oh - what else am I supposed to do?

I thought of postcounts with the high and mighty
Now I'm the subject of a section of lore
I know the forum won’t get too fighty
I'm posting things I never dreamed of before

We start to take the next part together
Found a small molpy, made a map of the land
Newpixbot is posting the next chapter
two hundred frames and the javascript stands

I made an ONG and I won’t regret it
Someone else tried failed to ninja vet it
My art's been reposted
My ego's unroasted
I just keep posint' along

And I think
Well, well, what else is in store?
Got all this and more at newpix, galore
It's hard not to be sure
It’s spinning out of control
Out of control

I'm feeling panicked and rushed and hurried
I'm feeling outmaneuvered and outclassed
But I'm so happy I can't get worried
About this singular impression
I've got a singular impression things are moving too fast

Dracomax, it's amazing how you manage to write these awesomeful ottifications while dealing with all that temporal mustard. Steakish!

So, molpish: originally meant of or pertaining to a molpy, then it meant cute, now it seems to mean--enjoyable? good? happy? What do you think?

Molpish is on the wiki, with the one-word definition of "good"... it was always just "good", it was originally coined by mrob for that exact purpose iirc.

The weepend is coming up. Dry your tears with the help of OTTification. (I'll try to update the list at the beginning of every weepend.)

I noticed some activity on the wiki, splitting of some sections of OTTerComics (in the 1200s) into groups of 10. Because I love organization (even though I am a bit haphazard), here's a list of AuthorComics that haven't been OTTified for each 10 group. (See? haphazard English.) If at least one is done from each, then there will be no blank sections in the wiki if they get split. See here for full list of un-OTTified comics.

Comics 60-69:

Comics 180-189:

Comics 270-279:

Comics 300-309:

Comics 400-499:
[none]

Comics 540-549, 570-579:

Comics 600-699:
[none]

Comics 700-799:
[none]

Comics 830-839:

Comics 950-959:

Comics 1000-1099:
[none]

Comics 1100-1199:
[none]

Comics 1200-1299:

Well, I am caught in a temporal limbo at the moment. who knows when or where I'll end up? (please be woodstock...please be woodstock...)

I swear it wasn't there a minip ago. I'm sure I didn't just not see it. :)

But it was not in fact coined by mrob. It was first used by mscha way back on NP731. In that case, and in these on NP 864 and NP 987, it was used to mean of or like a molpy. Then BlitzGirl used it on NP 1343 where it meant something like "good," though that doesn't seem quite enough. Maybe interesting is a better fit, though BlitzGirl herself would know best how she was using it. From then on, it seems to be used to mean some variant of "good." So, maybe I can update the entry on the Wiki that was totally just put there and not there all along.
