Yes I was kidding.

Thongumajigs That Are On My Side

Postby BlitzGirl » Fri Dec 13, 2013 6:00 am UTC

You might need to work on your kidding setting, ED; I thought you were being totally serious (maybe I'm just tired).

I have seen that in the hotdog but it's not like OTTers routinely type out the phrase "Things that are on my side for 600, Alex" in their posts these dips. Aside from blitzers' signposts, I don't think it's been in common OTT usage for several mips.

Loved your OTThercomic4 too, ChronosDragon!

In other news, my move1 is coming up. I'll be traveling about 13 Mq during the next 136 ONGs, including an early Christmas celebration with my Four (no ties - it's not formal). Hence I don't know how often I will be able to check the OTT - but I'll try to come by as often as possible. And I'm already looking forward to the post-move ketchup!
Until then: Stay molpish, my friends!

The river is small!

For decree: I think semencancercoffeebaconbabiesonice definitely needs to go on that list.

Hello. I know I'm not part of your community, so know I don't mean to offend if I use incorrect terminology. But, as the Outside World has chosen a "TIME Person of the Year" - the Outside World's Pope - I wondered if there was a "Time" Person of the Year, probably one of your Popes?

Wow, I think the OTSlang is invading hotel booking websites:

It took me a while to figure out that it was just possible that this Dennis might not be an OTTer, but I'd rather trust he is! Show yourself, Dennis :)

Well, there's Yappo, the Troubadour of the OTT, and ED, who, much like Pope Francis, has reached out to those outside the conclave, and through SB has brought others into our fold, or Newpixbot who so faithfully brings us the Ongs. I could go on but, like Time in 2006, I say the OTTer of the yip is all of us.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_(Time_Person_of_the_Year)

Brilliant Boababy ottercomic, HES! And Happy 1190!
And made even brillianter by ED, steakish! I hope you're having fun with your kinetic semencoffeecancerbaconbabiesonice!
Hope your move goes molpishly, Zooman!
Awesomeful Clutch ottification, azule!

BlitzGirl wrote:Is "needle-pulled thing" the only Madness phrase that has survived to the OTT's Present?

"Coma" was from the Madness, right?
And I never understood "Things that are on my side for 600, Alex!"... where does that come from?
And for decree, I think Game -> Hotdog would be a hilarious one to impose on otherthreads.

Nobody will get offended if you use "wrong" terminology! Because there isn't really such a thing... Ni ni ni chupathingy grifball, etc! ;)

I know somebody with a lego one - it's fun to play with, isn't it? :D

Legoses huh? How does that work, a different piece behind each window that eventually adds up to a full model?

And happy Postcount of the Beast, Minim. :P Treeish ottercomic too.

Aww, you'd consider me? Image But yes, without every single OTTer's contributions, seaish or riverish, this community wouldn't be what it is. But I still think it's redundant to be discussing this now, as OTTish new yip starts in March! ;)

And finally, speaking of otters' artistic contributions...

I was considering posting Earthling's OTTification in the Othercomic thread, when I wondered if any of the OTTercomics ever made it to the "ITT - We Make XKCD Slightly Worse" thread? And then I wondered why I hadn't thought of that before...
Waiting for it...

You get a couple of pieces that can be used to build something small each day - policeman, bench, Christmas tree are some of the things from this year's, anyway.
Titled TheMinimastic as of NP 1610.

Yeah, who is this Alex person?

Each day builds a small model or a figure

Turns out rather more expensive than a chocolate one, but at least you're left with the parts at the end.

Yeah, who is this Alex person?

Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy. "Things that are on my side" might be one of the categories used in the game, and the 600 refers to the value of the specific answer*. So the sentence, "Things that are on my side for 600, Alex!" could be how a Jeopardy contestant specified which answer* they were choosing. Of course, "Things that are on my side" in this case is referencing a song, Time is on my side.

*Jeopardy is a game show that gives the contestants the answers, and the contestants must respond with the appropriate question.
