Hatted returnee, ho!
Okay, okay, I'll post, and the board won't be able to keep track of where I'm up to any more, so here's
where I was. I wrote an OTTification, and I want to post it, see. But first, here are some replies I wrote many mips ago but didn't post because I still had ketchup and I prefer to let the board keep track of where I'm up to. I guess I'm schizo-blitzing from now on. How is everymolpy?
There were a few drafts from July which I think I might have already posted. This draft was last edited in September:

Ch*rping c**kies! I hope to wean myself onto Castle ONGer. Though I did also rewatch the Back to the Future trilogy as research for a filk. Is that productive?
...You're filking a whole movie?
No, I'm just filking a song and making it about the movie. Or at least I was, before I forgot all about that. I'd better get back on that before I forget what happened in Back to the Future and have to watch it again.
…and I still haven't finished that filk. But I did finish this one! I was reminded of my OTTification of Marian Call's 'Anchorage'
, and then I thought about how I had a few more favourites of hers now, and I should do those. One is Paper and Pen, which hearkens back to a simpler time. This ottification hearkens back to a simpler Time, when all we had was water, sand, and one or two new frames per hour if we were lucky, which we had to walk uphill in the snowcoffeesandbacon to get. It's not quite as well-constructed as the original, but let's say that's because it's made of water and sand.Water and SandAn OTTification of Paper and Pen, by Marian Call (linking to the YouTube version because then yappobiscuits will not be inexplicably blocked, and also because I have been in the house where it was filmed and I know the guy who filmed it)
Just the water and the sand and you.
Who knows what we're about to do
as the frames come one by one and true
and every darkened pixel's new?
And the readers have a real-Time view
watching, wond'ring, waiting too.
Every frame a mystery,
they find the future Time with us two.
Just the castles and the sea and you.
An instant and they're gratified; they always need to know,
their hastened patience atrophied; take Time to let it grow.
There's no shortcut and no run through
just Time to find it as it grew.
's non-stopping good
It runs just like our river would
if the rains came, and the sticks all came unstuck.
But it runs through us, it runs us through,
reduces us to a cartoon,
and it's compressed the Time that's best.
It serves express what Time expressed.
The sea has changed since we arrived.
The reason's found in Time, not tide.
Our one stream, small and intermittent.
The sea knew inflows our kindred didn't.
Oh, Time cocooned before Time flew,
the water and the sand you.
We'll do what we're about to do,
we'll find out things we never knew
Oh, move the stars and move us too,
The water and the sand and you.
