Hey, I am gonna resume my blitz soon, just stopping by to say that when I finally got around to watch The Desolation of Smaug today, I really had to laugh, when Smaug said "I can Wait." :D

The BLITZ! can now begin.

balthasar_s wrote:I'm almost ready to begin the blitz. I think I'll start when I finish making the video (not related) I'm making now.
Now, that the video is ready (it's here, btw) [/shameless self promotion] there are currently no other Outside forces that keep me from beginning my blitz. Although I considered schizoblitzing before, I think it will be better to jump completely into the past and read only these present posts that mention me. A bot will fintd those posts for me but first I'll have to teach him how to do it.

mrob27 wrote: Perhaps nobixbot can generate a report for you until you get your bot running. He actually wants to visit, and we've got a TARDIS so why not? He can't ride a bicycle (is it easier in the lower lunar gravity?) but I hope that's all right.
I'll be more than happy to accept nobixbot's help. I don't know if he's aware that my name is mispronounced sometimes and it's safer to look for everything that b egins with balt-. I was also called bicyclesonthemoon (which is my othername) at least once.

mrob27 wrote: I don't think the OTT takes a lot of space -- the current HTML (nearly 1700 pages) is just about 42 MiB when compressed.
But I wanted to have a copy of everything everything. including images. Luckily 428MiB also isn't very much.

I took the largest wolpy and go buy wolpy food, while we still have two digits in the temperature. (Middle sized wolpy went last time, and smallest wolpy doesn't really like going to the store, too much chance of seeing the evil UPS truck there.) She likes the UPS people, just hates their trucks. Then I came home and the UPS truck pulled up right behind me.

Frozen had some related lines too, which of course, escape me now. It was very good, and you have to respect a cartoon that includes the word fractally in a song.

Holy Ketchup, Bacon!

Like a hellish version of the travelling salesman problem,I just had to drive 14 students to 9 different addresses because everybody wanted to get the last bus of the night. It would be so much simpler if I were a dragon...

yappobiscuits wrote:Besides, we tend not to correct our nomenclature after finding out a thing is not in fact what we've got used to calling it :P (See: Molpy, dilgunnerang, semencoffeecancerbaconbabiesonice...)

At what point did we discover that the original molpy was not what we thought? No, cuegan never described it as such, but they didn't not call it one either

A helpful tip I picked up from an otherthread, if you highlight text in the "topic review" and press quote, it will only quote the highlighted text. Makes snipping much easier.

Ah, the age old math problem subversion joke is finally resolved:
"If a bus driver stops at the first stop and picks up 9 kids, drives east at 50 k/h for 7 minutes, stops again and picks up 8 more and drops off 2, drives west at 60 k/h for 3 more minutes, stops again and picks up 11 more and drops off 5, and then drives 15 more minutes at 75 k/h to the school, what is the bus driver's name?"
Clearly, it would seem, the answer is "HES".

And of course, things are all much simpler indeed for dragons: unwanted passengers can quickly become an in-flight snack.

That's the one that starts with "You're driving a bus..."

One of my old primary school maths teachers used to do maths challenges, which were a fast series of additions, multiplications etc that you had to keep up with. Just before the end he would multiply by zero. I guess they get their fun by tormenting 10 year olds.

Obviously you are wrong. It's (571.4 q/np).

Obviously. I obviously needed

Code: Select all

FuncFactory.getInstance()
                 .getHandler(Units.class)
                 .convertUnits1a("km")
                 .convertUnits1b("h")
                 .convertUnits2a("q")
                 .convertUnits2b("np");

We've got a browser. Well, at least the otters got one. Not sure about OTTers. Looks like a nice reason to reinstall the Qt SDK here.

Heresy! Heresy! (I guess you like chocolate!) Bring out the Comfy Chair! Start burning the steaks! You're an OTTer like the rest of us - wear that moniker with pride!

I do want to say that balthabiker's gif is awesome.

Now I'm going to have to look through his avatars (are they saved?) and ENHANCE them. And if somebody wanted to upload mine to the wiki, that would be fine (I don't have a wiki account so can't upload pix). I'll be changing back after the next AotC.

There were some other (older) things I wanted to reply to, but I'm going to have to do a separate condiment run. I don't always read and post synchronously. I also have some molpyhunt pix to show. But, after the first commandment.

Don't be heretical! There are Blitzers coming! (And there is one ready to be crowned - preparations are underway!)

Easy - she's on the Outside, and you're not. :) Scary place, Outside, and she's going to need mustard to get back. I hope she's ok.

Maybe it was this snake Cueball saw?
Spoiler:

If we saw its full length in mscha's animation, it might be the wrong species, since the juveniles have a different colouration, and the adults are about 0.67q long. But maybe its true length was concealed by our 2.5D view.
Wait on.
