Heres the recipe of the day kids!

Monsterously good Coke!
1. Mix two parts Black Cherry Vanilla Coke with one part Green Monster!
2. Consume!

It was invented by me at lunch last friday. It's quite good!

My proudest red bull related moment was the time everyone in town was drinking red bull and vodka, and all of them wanted me to try it (regardless of whether I already had).

I just noticed this, I spelled first wrong in my last post. I think I'll leave it to remind me of my n00bishness.

In case anyone's wondering, my first energy drink was a wired 3000. Good stuff, somewhat bitter though.

fun

Postby hack124x768 » Mon Sep 11, 2006 12:37 pm UTC

Energy drinks are fun stuff on their own. I have a friend that passed out from a 20oz vault drank single-handedly. Of course she is a light weight (~100lbs), but still, it freaked me out.

Funny, the only reason im still awake right now (seven hours after I wanted to be asleep) is from drinking a 24oz Monster. Im gunna kill my heart. :)

Red Bull is now banned from my house, my girlfriend once drank a two-litre bottle within half an hour, then wouldn't stop doing things for almost a day afterward, when she fell asleep for a good twelve hours.

I believe her body produces it's own source of caffeine to begin with.

Take a package of raw bacon... slice by slice, drop it into a deep fryer.

wait 5 minutes, take it out. enjoy.

--

Green olives, straight from the jar. Cold and crisp.

--

Visit your local burrito store (s/willys/moes/chipotle/qdoba), have your burrito made your usual way, then at the end say "oh and can I have a piping hot ladle full of Queso cheese poured into the burrito before wrapping up?"

It turns the inside into this hot, cheesy, liquified, gooey disgusting mess that is so good, your ass wont even complain when its rupturing 30 minutes later.

I've heard that too. I can confirm it has't happened to me.

As for 2 Litre bottles, !!!!!!!! That's ridiculous. I think the largest available here is 330 ml, and they tell you not to drink more than three. But noone drinks real red bull, we all buy the cheap concentrated kratingdaeng L. (I don't think I spelt that right)

the vodka makes the red bull less... red bullish, for me. But if I'm tired enough it doesn't matter.... I drank three cans one day and could barely stay awake. Other times, caffeine makes me so high as to be useless.

but...

TWO LITERS?

thats just not ok.....

A 20oz of monster would do that? Psh.

Last year, at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo), they were selling Bawls for a buck a bottle. My friend and I each had 6, and would have had more if we had some money. My legs were twitching.

I also didn't have anything to eat, on account of spending all the money on the drinks, so that might have helped in the twitching aspect...

i had a similar twitch except a i started out walking a couple miles to a gas station for food (nearest thing in walking range). I get there and decide against real food(mistake) and buy two 20oz monsters and two carmello bars.

A couple hours later my blood sugar plummeted from lack of real food and my whole body went numb and i had to lie down but all the caffiene had my whole body twitching. I thought i might go into a twitchy coma.

Left over Thai food put in a hot dog bun. Hot dogs in general actually, but you have to get experimental with the toppings..on that note, does anyone know which brand makes the most structurally sound hotdog buns? I'm experimenting with the Wonderbread variety now.

French mustard and ketchup are a must on top of hotdogs...what other toppings can there be!?

I must disagree, there are three thing that can possibly go on a hot dog and ketchup is not one of them. The other two being sauerkraut and relish.

Ok, I bow down to your superior palette...I have very young tastes in sauces. However I still say ketchup and mustard are top but I will entertain the idea of relish on a hot dog one day...though I'm slightly confused as to the difference between say relish and chutney. Can anyone clarify for me?

Relish is less chunky. That's why it's called chutney.

Bars around Melbourne had to stop selling Red Bull and Vodka, because a few people had some chest problems. My bio teacher says it's something to do with the reaction of Red Bull and Vodka.

Gah, people. Just leave off the Red Bull and have a nice shot of vodka, especially if it's Stoli or better. Red Bull is disgusting.

Then again, I drink whiskey on the rocks. Maybe I'm just old at 23.

I've never understood people who like red bull, I've never drunk it but that's cos the smell alone makes me feel extremely queasy!

Some people enjoy caffiene type energy stuff, I've never had a redbull but Monster are good tasting, though I don't really notice anything like caffiene sugar or energy drinks having any real effect for me. Yes with vodka too.

So apparently the actual effect of caffeine is simply to reduce the transmission of pain signals along nerves. With this in mind, one member of our robotics team (the only one who could stand Red Bull) got a bunch of Red Bulls from the Red Bull promotional guy and chugged them. We poked him frequently throughout the day to see if he could feel any difference.

On a sidenote, Red Bull is definitely not something that the robotics team needs. Nonetheless, there was a guy walking around with a bag full of Red Bulls handing them out. Undoubtedly trying to get us addicted. No one liked them.

I don't think I'll ever really understand why some foods are geeky and some aren't... caffeine, yes, but where does the fast food come in? More to the point: yes, it's fast, but raw oatmeal / fruit / bread is certainly faster.
