When I can get through all sets at 10 reps, nice and strict, I suppose I'll modify somehow. Up the reps to 12, add weight, something else...
I'm convinced it's a myth. Every video of someone doing it is special effects.

Tried doing some weighted pullups for the first time. Disgusting how much of a difference even 5kg makes.
I think I liked it though. Going to stick with it, or at least rotate it in, to see if I see a difference.

My max set of dead hang pullups had been stuck at 17 for months. I've started lifting regularly, and gained a decent amount of weight, so holding fast at 17 was technically still progress, but it certainly wasn't satisfying.
Today, out of nowhere, I hit 19. Didn't do anything different - same pace as always, same strategy. I think improving grip strength was a big factor - didn't feel like I was in a rush at all to finish before it gave out. Definitely seen some synergy there with pullups and deadlift.
All time record for dead hang is 25, many years ago and 20 lbs lighter. Trying to get back there. My current "lifetime goal" is 30. Long ways to go.

Ever since I listened to some Arnold Schwarzenegger workout video, I've been following his advice of not counting till you feel it, so I dunno what my max is. Probably around 15. Hold on. Trying it out. Okay, just did 16 (full hanging). Also just ate a big meal and worked out earlier, but I probably can't do more than 20 (just guessing though).
He wondered could you eat the mushrooms, would you die, do you care.
