Well, no wonder I couldn't find it: HES spelled "favorite" like an American!

And since this post will make me pope, a decree: Spell a word in a way contrary to the standard (ni ni ni) of your native land.

... Um, I don't think I have any such words in this post. Except favourite, up there.

And ninja'd by yappo but he says I get to make the decree anyway. :P

Down the rabbit hole

Postby AluisioASG » Sun Jun 08, 2014 9:35 pm UTC

Nothing relevant happened during our short walk to our rest stop. We made it as the sun set, coming across an indescribable view. It feels like all the effort committed to this journey is starting to pay off.

This cave seems to be the entry point for a much larger structure embedded within the mountain range. The opening is on an exposed formation on the west side. Overall, it is supported by exquisite and resistant metalwork.

I'll try to explore this place tonight. Tomorrow we'll collect more food and water from the adjacencies, then truly depart the next morning. I've reviewed my notes and believe the return trip won't take more than one month.

It just randomly came into my playlist - an almost RELATED song: Pink Floyd - Grantchester Meadows (lyrics). It would be perfect for OTTificationS although it doesn't need to be changed much - it already has trees, water, river, sea, there's chirping in the background through the whole song and a beesnake at the end. :D And the fox could be replaced with Lucky (interestingly, in the lyrics it says "dog fox" at first and "dark fox" later, not sure which one is correct).

SSince I'm terrible at poetry even in my native language and am quite busy right now, I'll leave that to others if someone wants to do it.

taixzo - Love the beginning; very innocent and playful, like the sandcastle era. I wonder how the bass guitar would sound as a cello. The pan back orchestration is very effective, though I would have done a little more thematic development at that point. Love the pizzicato.

I take it the trebuchet part isn't filled out yet - sounds promising.

I see there's a lot of John Cage influence after the trebuchet, though it's played quite a bit faster than the original, which as I recall was a little over four and a half minutes. I enjoyed the counterpoint near the end, as they get ready to go on their journey, and the brass building at the end along with the high strings is very effective.

This symphony will be Baobab. I'm waiting for it! After listening to this, I listened to your Stars again. Awesomeful too!

Oh, and I also got lucky this evening.

I think perhaps a lot of OTTers simply disabled their extensions or uninstalled the script. My records indicate that happened with @ChronosDragon on around 2013-10-31.

I stopped using the TimeAccessor I had in installed on and kinda forgot to look for it to install it on this one. (And if I had, well I recently installed Ubuntu so I'd need to be doing it again anyhow.

ETA Oh, I missed the part about it ceasing to exist... though there's probably further discussion about it I haven't reached yet. So ignore this.

Looks like Malta, a bit stretched in E-W direction. That makes the smaller island Gozo. Fits, as the Beanie expedition passed (and surveyed) Vesuvio and Etna before they got shipwrecked.
