Lego Movie Mafia - Game over: Day of the Kragle

Postby mpolo » Sun Jul 06, 2014 1:39 pm UTC

Everything is awesome
Everything is cool when you're part of a team
Everything is awesome when we're living our dream

Standard rules

Spoiler:
1.You cannot post in this thread unless you are alive and included in the player list.
2.You cannot talk about this game outside of this thread, unless in an appropriately titled spoiler in the discussion thread, or unless it was specifically sanctioned by the mod.
3. You cannot edit your posts.
4. You cannot quote private messages from the mod.
5. You cannot lurk.
6. You cannot ruin the game for other players.
7. You cannot say, imply, or pretend that a hammer vote has been cast unless it is obvious from counting the public votes in the thread.
8. If you break any of these rules, you will lose, be removed from the game, and shame will be heaped on you.

Special rules:
Spoiler:
1. A tied vote will result in a 24-hour extension. If the votes are still tied, there will be no lynch.
2. Please vote on a separate line in boldface. Unvoting is nice, but not necessary.
3. Questions to the mod can be make in bold in thread, or sent by PM.
4. Please do not use boldface except for these two cases. (I'll allow FoS in bold, if you choose to do so.)

Some win conditions:

Spoiler:
You are a member of the town, and win when all mafia members have been eliminated.

You are a member of the mafia, and win when the mafia has eliminated all town resistance, or this is inevitable.

Player list:

1. UniqueScreenname — Killed N3: Unikitty, town Master Builder
2. (Lawrencelot) Replaced by freezeblade
3. Vytron (does it contain movie spoilers? May need to watch before playing...)
4. Madge — Lynched D2: Emmet, vanilla or maybe Malaga (town)
5. moody7277
6. wam — Lynched D3: Batman, Master Builder (town)
7.dimochka (if possible to not start till next week, that would be just splendid)
8. Djehutynakht
9. BigNose — Killed N2, but somehow still around: Vitruvius
10. SDK — Killed N1: Abraham Lincoln, independent Master Builder (survivor)
11. mobiusstripsearch — Lynched D1: 1980-something space guy, Master Builder commuter (town)

Replacements:
1. freezeblade
2. BoomFrog

Role PMs are out. You can go ahead and start discussions, though some more flavor (and a deadline) will arrive once most people have posted.

Good to see there's no SK. Doesn't necessarily mean there are no indies though.

Vote Vytron.

It does say some win conditions, so an SK could still be possible I suppose.

Hello everybody! Let me tell you, I am soooooo excited about this game. It was my favorite movie this year and mpolo is a great mod so I have high expectations, but certainly not unreachable. I have faith in you! Also Vytron, I really hoped you learned your lesson from last time and are going to play in a more helpful manner or I swear you will regret it for years to come.

SDK seems to be one of those people with a very aggressive and controversial early game, so I will take him under observation until I form a better opinion.

You also wasted huge amounts of time and almost got lynched. The end does not justify the means. However, we're kinda talking about an ongoing game, so I won't say more about it.

I do think that from this whole discussion we can gather that MAFIA is the only threat to TOWN (as a player element; there may be some game elements that will add to that, but I'm not personally aware of any). So no SKs, no cult, etc.

Okay. That was weird.

Anyways... I do see what SDK is getting at, with regards to the text of the town win-con. It seems like a fair assessment.

Still, he made quite the racket over it. Then again, something like this always happens on the first page.

After hours of singing their favorite song, the denizens of Bricksburg made their way home. But one lowly construction worker met with a surprise, and a strange contraption attached to his back…

Perhaps things were less awesome than the radio stations of Bricksburg would have you believe. The nefarious Lord Business was hatching an evil scheme, and with his minions, he was quickly removing all resistance from the Master Builders. Very few remained at large. All hoped for the arrival of The Special, but few knew where to look for him.

All but one of you have received your PMs, so I'm going to officially start the day.

D1 is often based on small things like that. While it doesn't necessarily make you out to be scum, it does not give you a free pass either (meaning that just because you were attacked a bit today, we shouldn't pay attn to you).

The full list is going to be quite long. It probably suffices that I've played on Mafiascum and Epicmafia under a different name.

Anyways, I like a good Day 1 run up.

I was going to vote SDK in retaliation, but I see he's made about 3 separate votes in the course of about a day, twice for myself, so I don't think I can really chalk that up to anything but a twitchy player; whether that twitch be town or scum, I have no idea.

All in all, I agree with USN's assessment of him.

I also have a good feeling about Mobius. No evidence, just a feeling.

*sees posts made while I was writing this*

I don't find Djehutynakht scummy.

And I'll have SDK as neutral. He has jumped all around the place in his votes, and made a good point, but that doesn't make him townie.

Sarcasm's not always scummy but I believe this particular brand of it is. This (and your response to my first vote) shows that you're nervous about the game state at the moment. Quite happy with where my vote is.

Well, my response to your first vote (as I so clearly demonstrated above) was itself sarcasm.

Personally, I think you're grasping at straws. At first I thought uninformed townie, although I'm now leaning towards either belligerent townie or scum.

All said and done, however, I'm just going to stop responding. You're just going to keep this up and I don't want one of those situations where we two take up all attention in a D1 deathspiral and prevent useful content regarding others from being generated.

DJ, where else have you played mafia? As far as I can tell you've got max 1245 posts in the mafia sub (didn't do a proper search since I don't want to accidentally read GoJoe posts), so I find it hard to believe that you've seen scum buddies bussing each other this hard on page 1 "quite a few" times.

Also, I don't think you're being snarky (though I guess saying you don't like Mobius as a person was kinda mean). Why do you think you're being snarky?
