Probably. That mustard is mine - or rather, Pioneer Communications (which is now my ISP). I have lots of trouble with youtube, but nothing else. Youtube will give me the first four seconds of a video, and then I'm drumming my fingers until it deems it appropriate to send me the rest. I have the speed to accept the whole video in a flash. However, Pioneer fails to convince youtube of that.

Yes, looks like you have no more mustard. Somehow, that's kind of sad.

Thanks. I wouldn't want to leave anything unbalanced!

Hmmm.... I'm pope again. I guess fate is insisting on a decree from me!

I kind of miss the poetry stuff. Something poetical about basement dwellers.

Yes I've pointed that out before but I like drawing attention to it :P

We're delurkdip buddies! DelurkNP buddies? Delurknip buddies?

Yes, onward!

I'm thinking "The Delurk Twins".

Also, my household is close to our download limit with over a wip left in the billing period. This means we only have about 5MB download each per dip, so I've turned off loading of all images. (Though traffic between 1AM and 9AM isn't counted, so I'm not completely cut off.)

Wow has the OTT sped up recently or did I just slow down?

That's why I use this extension called Textarea Cache. You could probably find similar extension for your favorite browser.

micdi wrote:So... should we just write a collective pm to all of them?

I should really coma already... I read that as "So... should we just write a collective pun to all of them?"

Collective pun sounds like BG's nightmare. :)

Also what's all that with backwards usernames? esuoMoN. That's not very interesting. Although my username is partially based on writing something backwards (but it's more complicated, it's a result of series of steps obfuscating my real name, as I've written some hundreds or maybe thousands of newpages before).

For decree - an ottification of Rise From The Deep by Red Rum, about the basement dwellers.

Sent to the basement
In the past gone by
Hungry to return
Quest back up to the sky!

Through the countless yips
Through the trapdoor strong
We have sought to rise
To see some more ONGs!

Out of the dark shines the thread's fiery light
Shining a path for our souls to take flight
Hungry for OTTing, our souls wish to speak
Clawing at the edge, we rise from the deep!
(x2)

We rise from the basement too dark to see
Breaking the surface, we rise from the deep
We rise in numbers so vast and spread
Into the present, we take to the thread!

We rise from the deep! (x6)

Probably sped up a little, which wasn't hard to do, as we've been dropping perilously close to a one-post-per-nopix average lately.

Thanks to ED, BG, (adding names because I didn't before) Aluisio, ucim for the comments. EoM, thanks for checking Google Images. That's pretty funny. BTW, donuteatingfox can be parsed as "donut-eating fox" and "[a] donut eating [a] fox", where either the fox or the donut could be the one eating the other. Maybe that hyphen is necessary.

That's nice. Not worse. :) Yeah, names are bit hard but with a lot of OTTers not having an avatar names can still work.

So while you seem to be sticking around, maybe you can answer a question. Remember when you said penis? lol. Well, do you recall if that was on a round numbered post of yours (such as post 100 or 300)? The answer will help with a question that also involves me....

At some point in the intervening newpages, we turned it into a tradition of sneakily (or not so sneakily) including the word in round-numbered posts. Particularly 100th posts, but also larger numbers.

Knowing the context of your original usage would be a boon to the field of otthropology

I keep forgetting to mention, but was reminded by the above mentioning of adnapemit:
I'm gonna be at a film launch in Canberra on Friday of next week (the 14th) if anyone in the area wants to say hi. Actually I'll be one of the people checking tickets so I'll probably be seeing everyone who attends.

Oh hey, 4096! Super round number!

Why do you capitalize it backwards, and not forwards? And what do people think of the capitalization of their usernames (as in - should it be capitalized (if lower case) if it starts a sentence...)

I've been enjoying the poetry, starting with ergman (and his prophetic verses, which I missed commenting on when I first read them), ChronosDragon, Eternal Density (though I'm not sure about the bears, having just read some scary stuff on TVTropes about them), yappobiscuits, and BlitzGirl.

Spoiler:
No, it's not a pun. It's like the three-sided Monty Python album, where the grooves are interleaved and you never know which one you'll hear. Alas, them young-uns have probably never heard of LPs. They're like old style laser video disks, that don't use lasers, and don't have video on them. They came before 5 inch floppies and 8-tracks. There was this thing that went around and around, and you could actually put a needle on it to hear sounds. But you couldn't pull on it with a needle.

On pronunciation: I noticed how hard it is to actually pronounce OTThropology and other OTT words, plus these backwards names. If this had to vocalized I'm not sure how many of these words would have survived.

ucim, you and other are free to capitalize my name however you want.

Why do you capitalize it backwards, and not forwards? And what do people think of the capitalization of their usernames (as in - should it be capitalized (if lower case) if it starts a sentence...)

I capitalized it because it started a sentence. IMO lower case usernames should be treated like common nouns, and as such capitalized at the start of a sentence, UNLESS they contain capitalization within them (e.g. "qwerty" would be capitalized at the start of a sentence but "qwErty" wouldn't).

I like that rule. Only problem is that most of my uses of usernames is at the beginning of sentences.

This is a good instance of the need for positive/negative words in this automeme. If I molpy down it would be GOOD for GLR to enhance a pastpost. *shrug* or does this work?

It could be improved yeah.
On the preivous NP I had "YOU CAN'T MEMEIFY YOUR BAOBAB AND MEMEIFY IT TOO" which seems incorrect. Though that might just be a redundancy setting.

You're assuming that IT refers to YOUR BAOBAB. Perhaps that IT is the IT we are still waiting for.

The official reason is his schedule, but I guess the real reason is his social anxiety.

I'm not sure either – I didn't yet try out his notion of a comfortable room. Maybe it would.
