"Comets" are just a subspecies of whales.

Have we already landed on a whale?

Silence. Stay brave, Philae. Also noted (in the Status Report) is that whales are not in space; however, there appears to be a whale on the comet.

There's a whale now. If harpoons work on whales, Philae can land there.

The question marks obviously abducted the whale shortly after they abducted Cueball. One of the question marks is attempting to harpoon it now.

As long as the whale stays on the comet, Philae's got a chance. Thankfully, space =/= water, so the whale's probably staying put.

Note, however, that the whale itself is now labeled as "probably not". So the image and the Status Report balance each other, for now.

This has indeed never been tried before. "Probably not" now also has an arrow pointing towards the comet-man.

Last I heard it may not be that bad, it's possible it's just a defective pressure sensor and the thruster may actually work anyway. Relevant twitter exchange.
