Simple. Is it pizza, biscuits, paper, or the nearest thing you can fit in your mouth?

I say pizza, although only thin/crispy, as deep pans make the keyboard all greasy.

EDIT: If this would be preferred in 'food', would a supreme mod please move it?

This depends. What am I doing? If I'm gaming, the stellar combination of Cheetos and Mountain Dew is the most awesome thing ever. I must remember to thank Dr. Demento for the idea. However, if I'm coding, I'll generally prefer something a bit more substantive: I've been known to have pizza, sandwiches, and even full dinners while coding. The drink usually depends on the meal, but if I'm not eating anything, I'll go with either a bottle of Shiner Bock or a bottle of Bawls--depending on my mood.

My "on the computer" diet seems to consist of mostly Pringles and Lindt truffles, along with whatever kind of soda is in the fridge.

Ultimate meld of food == Liquid bread or should I just say mmmmm Beer?

Eating junk food just makes me feel sick especially when I think about what it will do to my body if I eat it on a consistant basis. Almonds and apple slices taste good. They don't make a mess, and they're actually better than most chips and what not. However, I do have an addiction to espresso. Also I don't feel so bad about drinking my beer if I eat more healthy foods.

I have a varied computer diet. If I've already made some Sals, then the obvious choice is chips and salsa and occasionally quesadillasand/or taquitoes.
If I have no salsa but I have hamburger patties, then I often indulge in a bacon cheeseburger whilst computing.

At this point, pizza becomes an option.

the ground state computing food is pasta with whatever is at hand (common pasta additives include but are not limited to: left over steak, tobasco sauce, home made roasted garlic, grilled chicken, fajita chicken, leftover brisket, cheese of any of a number of varieties or any combination thereof)

For beveraging at the computer, the only answer is Dublin Dr. Pepper, regular Dr. Pepper is acceptable, all non-Dr. Pepper drinks are heretical and shall be burned at the stake.

For hard-core, I'm-not-getting-out-of-this-chair-for-three-days computing, peanut butter with a spoon covers most of the bases with a minimum of fuss and mess. Water to drink, tea if I get bored with water. I don't like diet sodas and the sugary ones are just too much sugar for too little activity.

Pizza certainly makes the list, in any form, but you have to order it and go get it or heat it up or answer the door, so it's reserved for times I'm not so intense. It's fine hot or cold.

Cold leftover pasta is an excellent food while working/playing with your computer.

Ginger snaps would be good, except that the dog loves them and constantly butts my elbow with his head to beg for one, and that makes it difficult to type.

Thread over. Bawls counts as a food when consumed in mass quantities, in my opinion at least. Other than that, I do enjoy snacking on Pokey and pizza.

Oh wow, best Pizza for long gaming night is the place called "Da Big Kahuna" pizza near Salt Lake on Oahu. The sauce is just a little spicy and the cheese is a great blend that just melts in your mouth. Mmmmm

Staple foodstuffs when I am with friends for gaming sessions include include pretzels, crisps (plain or Walkers Thai Sweet Chilli flavour), ginger cake, popcorn (salty) and various sweets. Drinks to accompany this are usually of the carbonated variety. Pizza is, in my opinion, better suited to film-watching.

But yea, I drink. The only problem is that a 2L one is too much, but a 33CL is too lite. And I dont want to have tons of empty cans of 33CL around. This make my computer area looks like a hobo dorm.

I own an office building. When I bought it, the basement had very recently been vacated by a gaming place. I had to rent a 30 yard dumpster and hire a crew to get the accumulation of undisposed-of pizza boxes out of the place. They definitely voted for pizza. And Mountain Dew and Jolt and Red Bull.

Pizza always wins. Though I do like small snacky things like cheese cubes or string cheese, grapes, bananas, celery sticks, baby carrots & ranch. simple easy to eat fruits and veggies really.

And as for bawls, I lived on a case for a week in front of my computer doing a custom programming job.
It paid for that months rent and the case of bawls.

My roommate has an interesting method of eating snack foods at the computer: he uses chopsticks (for chips, etc.) so he doesn't get crumbs on the keyboard. Seems to work pretty well.

Bagels for me (they have to NOT be poppyseed bagels, as good as those are, for obvious reasons). Cookies if I want something sweet, although that's more iffy as they produce more crumbs.

Ginger slices...you'll stop being dizzy from watching the screen too long, it won't smear on anything, and it'll give you a needed kick to stay up. Carrots are good too...keep up your night vision should you enjoy stealth games.

As for drinks: anything caffeinated.

I love soup far too much, however I had the worst soup in the world (EVAR) when I flopped into Subway today (7 hours of predicate logic and set theory makes you very subjective to marketing it seems).

Best soups so far are: vegetarian chili soup, golden parsnip soup, tomato soup, won tun soup and super chicken noodle soup =D.

If I need something more substantial I often have a small salad or some crumpets. I generally have to close the IDE to eat a conventional meal though.

Any soup whores out there? Or are we all pizza lovers~? =3

I assume you mean 30 FOOT dumpster. A 30 yard dumpster would be... An impressive achievement.

Also, I don't understand how you can run a gaming place and NOT clear out the pizza boxes before leaving - I'd be FAR too concerned with accidentally leaving hardware behind.

No, I actually meant what I typed. Dumpsters are sized in cubic yards.

For food - Toast, and if I'm feeling esp. lazy, something like m&ms. Meh. I don't eat much while at the computer, and when I do, it's usually whatever is around in the kitchen.

Drink - Coffee, for light-caffiene days, Bawls if I need something more. My finals owe their grades to Bawls. /salute.

Food is usually Sun Chips. The drink is pretty much always water.

Exceptions occur on the weekends, when I occasionally order pizza and drink Sprite straight from the 2-liter bottle (because, dammit, if I'm paying $2.50 to have it delivered, I'm going to enjoy it).

Edit: Oh yeah, and I sometimes take much more than the daily recommended allowance of Gingko Biloba, along with some Kickers energy spray. It's like Nanite crack.
