St. Louis Meetup

First clarification:
Not necessarily XKCD but I'll be there and I'm in love with the mind behind XKCD. Therefore I'll welcome you and subjugate anyone who says otherwise.
Second clarification:
Not in the city proper but close enough to throw a rock at. Google

The time is 6 p.m. and it is a LAN party so bring your box and play any game you want.

I'll check this everyday about noon and 1 a.m. if anyone has questions
My two cents.

Didn't have any random encounters last weekend but I did think of another meet up that could be planned. Does anyone have any objections to the City Museum being a meet up? How bout all you St. Louisians toss out some suggestions I know that there are at least a few of you out there interested in such a thing. Off to an adventure I say lets get this party started. I'm calling rogue though.
My two cents.

Bringing this thread back from limbo!

Much has changed since 2008. For instance, St. Louis has a hackerspace (Three if you count the two splinter groups).

While Arch Reactor appears to be the de facto group in St. Louis area, it is not without its flaws.

I propose a chance for a new meet up. This time in St. Louis County rather than the city. The location will need to be determined by a majority of the people interested. It will need to be near a bus route. (Sorry, St. Charles County residents. Get on board with mass transit and connect with Metro more than just at rush hour and we might consider setting up in your area.)

Surely there are some folks at UMSL, Washington University, Webster University, Maryville University, or even one of the St. Louis Community Colleges interested in holding meet ups or creating a hackerspace that could unify the two splinter groups.
