I got the idea from a thread in the Books forum.

I watched a sci-fi movie a long time ago. People lived on a non-rotating planet where it was daytime all the time, and there was a boiy who could turn into animals. At one point the bad guy puts a parasitic worm into the good guy's foot. Any ideas?

you know, I'm extremely good at remembering the names of the movies I liked but thats unlike me in almost every other memory test. I can't remember people's names. I can't remember road names. I can't remember spelling either. I can perfectly pronounce clatou berada nicto though (even though I can't spell it) and tell you it's from the day the earth stood still.

There was some old romance movie I watched back when I was a little kid. It looked kinda Victorian to me. Definitely British. At the very end (and I mean very end) there's a dramatic swordfight where one of the characters dies. Can't remember who. Otherwise, there's the mandatory sex scene and all that stuff.

Don't ask me why I was watching this. I don't remember.

That was just a short (15 minutes) promo film for his "Thriller" album, which featured the song at the end. At the very end as Vincent Price laughs wickedly, he turns towards his girlfriend and looks at her with the yellow monster eyes.

I remember when I was a kid I lived in Germany because my dad was stationed there (Army brat here). There was some show on Cartoon Network at 6am that featured two kids with a pet magpie. They would travel through time and show historical lessons. One that I remember was a merchant who was pissed off because the kids spilled pepper or something, and he was going on about "pepper is gold!"

Didn't the film clip for Black or White do something similar? The clip with all the morphing. With the people morph into other people. That was the other one I was thinking of. But I have no idea if there were any animals.

A few years ago I remembered the name of the show, it was "Touch of Blue in the Stars." I would love to watch it again but I can't find any info about it.

Sounded like Rocky and Bullwinkle for a moment, but I guess it's not. I remember Cartoon Network had a bunch of weird shit on late at night, but this was way back when, before Adult Swim.

Come to think of it, I can't remember those shows now. I do remember that there was one in particular that was a bunch of animated short films, and I remember them all being fairly upsetting. They dealt with weird topics, like cloning from a transporter machine and other things. It wasn't funny at all, however. I think it might have been called "O, Canada"?

EDIT: yeah, that was it, but I can't find any information on it. Anyone else remember it?

Yeah, that MJ clip is from the end of his video for Black or White. I remember watching that on MTV back in the day and trying to pull those moves off. What can I say? Whatever else, the dude has skills.

A man created by a computer
Convicts are sent into a Matrix like world to fight AI.
The Guy created from the computer breaks out and wreaks havoc and can only heal him self with glass.
One of the convicts stops him.

Something like that.

I was watching this lifetime movie (with my girlfriend, so it's not gay) about a girl, who looked alot like Shannon Doherty, dating some older dude. She gets super into him and starts calling him all the time, so he breaks it off. Then she starts calling him in the middle of the night and similar insanity. It all starts getting really creepy, but then we had to leave and i never saw the end or caught the name of the movie. I'm very curious about whether she actually tried to kill him in the end and also whether she ever shows her cans.

Also one with a family that was always going from place, and was in one city where all the people were machines with their "consciousness" stored in a giant facility,and wirelessly sent to their bodies....

Something with terrorists plotting to smuggle barrels of some nasty bio or chemical weapon into a stadium. In the part I saw, they kill their truck-driver hostage by shutting him in a room with one of the barrels after shooting holes in it. I later had a very terrifying yet sexy dream about it.

When I was really young I remember watching a fantasy show that involved a goblin. All I really remember about it is that at one point someone grabbed the goblin's leg and it came off.
Cue goblin stating the obvious without any notion of pain "You pulled my leg off"
I think there was a child involved and the child would be swapped for the leg

"O, Canada" was a show that featured a lot of cartoon shorts produced up in Canada, including the aforementioned "The Cat Came Back," "The Logdriver's Waltz", and "Get A Job".

I remember seeing one on that show that wasn't animation, but was stop-motion, where they built a cake, and on top of the cake was the logo for the National Film Board Of Canada:

I remember at the end it showed a kid in a Mikey-like coif taking the dot out and eating it. The whole film involved the characters getting the dot in the logo on top of the cake.

A friend of mine asked me about this but I didn't know the movie, so I told her I'd ask around here.

It's an old animation movie, she thinks somewhere in the 80's and American. Something about "Rock N Roll". There was some sort of alien who for some reason needed to capture seven specific sounds, so he kidnaps a singer from Earth and then her boyfriend comes to rescue her from the Alien's spaceship. She recalls a sort of pentagram motif on various architechural structures in the movie.

It was kind of a musical with soft-rock music.

Whilst trying to remember the film I forgot, I remembered it had that guy from Airwolf in it. A quick search on imdb brought it all flooding back to me: Damnation Alley (1977)

One of those so-bad-it's-good tacky post-apocalyptic Mad-Max clones about a group of survivors trying to, y'know, survive.

There was this bit, where, for some reason, nuclear annihilation enlarges cockroaches to Godzilla proportions. I don't know where the logic is in that, but sure enough, the Airwolf guy and George Peppard start fighting giant cockroaches somewhere in the mid-west.

Anyway, there's something I can't remember from when I was a child. There was an animation based on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The headless horseman literally scared the pants off me. Anyone know this? Also, a phrase keeps coming back to me: "Damn you, Kropotkin!"

Old Sci-Fi film that's been bugging me for a while -

The plot is about a team of Alien soldiers who will be part of an invasion of Earth. They'd studied Earth's culture for some time (Mostly in the form of various pulp Sci-Fi mags) and concluded from the various "Bold daring human kills various space monsters to save helpless damsel" stories that Humans will be extremely violent and intolerant towards any extraterrestrial entity. So they land on Earth, only to be welcomed with celebration and open arms. They get drawn into the party, a lot of them get drunk, some get hit by cars, and we get a closing monologue from the Team's leader are he lays passed out in a gutter.

Judging from the visual quality it was probably made in the 60s or 70s.

I request: "Need Help Remembering A Film"

Right, well, there's 3 films I can't remember the title of. Here's the first:

1960s-70s Mythical/Historical Fantasy. In Technicolor® so it looks brightly coloured like Jason and the Argonauts, or one of those sword-and-sandal adventures, with Cleopatra or something. Anyway, the content I remember:
There is an ALTAR of REFLECTIVE WATER in a GRAND, PALACIAL ROOM. On the CEILING, directly above the altar is a tapestry of a FISH, with a WIDE EYE. The tapestry REVOLVES.
An ARCHER is standing, looking down at the water. He has a BOW & ARROW and is POINTING THE ARROW UP AT THE FISH, but looking down. He has to pass a TEST, and SHOOT the fish in the EYE, using only the bowl of reflected water for guidance.
Something TERRIBLE happens if he misses. And the circular image containing the fish is revolving slowly.
That's all I remember. Has anyone seen it?

The second is a Historical Epic War Drama. Like Ben Hur. Maybe it is Ben Hur, I haven't seen that fillum in years.There are two ARMIES in the DESERT. They are ANCIENT GREEK or EGYPTIAN, or maybe even ROMAN. Either way it's EPIC. One army comes racing towards the other, from a sand dune. They have the SUN behind them. Army 2 stands alert, in a line. As the advancing army races closer, Calm Army 2 whips out their REFLECTIVE SHIELDS which REFLECTS THE SUN back on the advancing army. BLINDED, the army stumble into a HIDDEN RAVINE between the two, taking them nearly all out.

The third is about a WAR HERO. Possibly WWII. Some of it is set in the DESERT. He dies in a ROAD ACCIDENT on a winding COUNTRY LANE (this bit isn't in the desert). Two TEENAGERS are driving too fast, from the OPPOSITE DIRECTION. They may be on MOTORCYCLES. The war hero is definitely on a MOTORCYCLE. He has to SWERVE to avoid them, and he CRASHES his motorcycle. It is based, I think, on a TRUE STORY.
