Seriously? We have to pay $84 each for our AP exams here in North Carolina. (Although my parents pay for that so I have no right to complain >_>)

Actually, $85.

Speaking of which, I need to give the forms for that to my parents.

I went to go make chips last night (fries whatever), found out my room mates used the last of the ketchup and failed to buy more.

Just now I went to go make rice and what do you know, my room mates used the last of the soya sauce and didn't buy more!

Hrm...I bet ranch would go really well on seasoned fries. I need to try this.

Not a fan of sour cream though. If I wanted sour cream, I'd open the milk carton in my fridge :P

I still did not find a job. This is only a slight annoyance as my biggest problem with having no job is just being bored all day. I don't really have bills at all.

My solicitor is being frustratingly slow over the bookshop and I have no job and plenty of bills. If this goes on much longer I will be in £17,000 worth of debt, with no bookshop and no job.

Yes. But usually it's in the form of a dipping sauce I make with a mayonnaise base. Or I could just have salt, and possibly also tomato sauce, or gravy... I'm pretty easy.

Annoying thing of the day: I pretty much diagnosed myself with lactose intolerance. It's really sad because I used to drink like 3 huge glasses of 2% milk per day... then I gradually drank less and less, then I switched to 1%, then skim, and now I realized I feel sick whenever I drink milk or eat ice cream. Even the milk in my cereal makes me nauseous. But I love my cereal with milk :(

I was lactose intolerant as a child I haven't had a glass of milk (of any form) in probably a dozen years. Go go osteoperosis man!

That's frightening. I thought lactose intolerance was genetic. I drink probably about that much milk/day. Milk is good because it's one of few beverages that have significant non-sugar calories, is needed for cereal, chocolate (I like my cocoa and milk separate), some cookies, and is an ingredient in many good things.

Minor annoying thing: I heard the phrase "pre-owned car" on the radio. I hate that phrase. Logically it would mean any car one hasn't built oneself, but it's used as a synonym for "used".

I'd like to see someone use that as a defense for stealing a car from a car lot.

"Would you classify the stolen vehicle as a 'pre-owned' car?"
"No, it was new."
"So if someone were to come onto your lot and buy that car, that person would have been the first, or original, owner of the vehicle?"
"Yes."
"Well if that is the case, you cannot claim that your dealership owned the car, even though it was in possession of it. After all, that would make you the vehicle's previous owner, which by your own admission the car could not have."
"...er..."
"If you did not own the car, the car could not be stolen from you, and therefore my client is guilty of no crime. The defense rests."

Pre-owned adj. 1. The state or condition of being totally fucked in a contest before it even starts. Once my lawyer decided on that crazy-ass defense in my trial for grand-theft auto I was officially pre-owned.

EDIT: While "pre-owned" can certainly be used when discussing a crazy-ass defense, it may also come into use when thinking farther into the future about one's crazy ass-defense in prison.

Teachers on strike. School is closed as a result, hence I am posting now.

This means that there's now even less time to work on stuff for choir.

And without our choral director, we sound terrible. We don't have anyone who can work on vocals with us now full-time that our director went on leave of absence, so we're pretty screwed. All that anyone seems to care about anyway at this point is how well the show LOOKS, which is at best only half the battle. We have had maybe three or four serious vocal rehearsals in the past couple of months.

Our next show choir competition has been cancelled, beginning to make us question the support of the superintendents on another issue.

And even though school is cancelled, I still have to go to drama practice, because it's not cancelled. I'm the props guy, so it's especially boring. And it takes up five hours of my time that I could use doing something useful, such as my physics homework.

Not to mention the irritating incompatibility of nearly all of the other people there. I can barely survive with my sanity intact. Can you say, "infighting"? (Not to mention that because it's largely student run as part of the Thespian Society, there was nobody to make sure their music and dancing were executed properly...so there are people singing parts that don't fit their ranges, etc.)

The only good thing I can come up with is that with school cancelled, I have more time to work on the homework for physics.

I am willing to bet I have never had good latkes before, because I've only had them once. But I am one of those people that will try something once and if I don't like it I just avoid it for the rest of my life. It is the same deal with baked macaroni and cheese.
