My avatar is of Richard Dean Anderson, from my favorite episode of one of my favorite shows, Stargate SG-1. Anyone who has seen the episode will instantly know the scene.
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

my avatar is just a picture that really caught my eye... it has all sorts of elements that appeal to me. i love trees, especially intricate root systems, i love deep, saturated colours, and it reminds me of the person who gave it to me (which is nice because he's a cool guy).

Mine's just a flame I made in Apophysis. Cool program.
I have about 80+ pictures I've made, I just picked this one because it matched the color scheme of this forum the best (most of my other ones are red/orange on black).

So I JUST NOTICED everyone else has a hat. It's kind of like a passport around here, apparently.

So I grabbed one, and what do you know, it actually looks good on me.

hats prove you are not a raptor. because raptors don't have ears, clearly the hat would not stay on their reptilian heads *ahem* *adjusts hatS* i have two. i am VERY human. look at how very human i am with my TWO hats.

>_> <_<

it is a very nice hat. i'm not sure what kind i'll be putting on next. probably rabbit ears for easter.

I'm thinking of leaving my santa hat up permanently, maybe I'll make it into a gif and add more holidays or something though (all crappily drawn by me of course ). I'm just weird like that.

As for the rest of my avatar, I like .hack//sign. It's probably one of my favorite series that I own, and I just like the expression on Tsukasa's face though I'm not entirely sure why.

Hrmm, I dunno, but apparently I may just steal your idea, even though I didn't know it was your idea, or even that anyone else had the idea.

Also, more hats = more human? Like more organs means more human? I think we need to inform Zim.

Hmm, do masks count as hats? I hate hats, and I refuse to put one even on my avatar, but my avatar does have a protective mask. How can I prove that I am not planning on consuming the porcine flesh of you other humans? (Humans are said to be most similar to pigs physiologically, so I assume that we taste like pork).

I was in a rush to find an avatar and don't really care what it's of, just that something is there other than a blank.
I chose my favorite "funny picture" on the internet. I just love the though process I imagine went into the graffiti in the picture and it's the kind of gut reaction I often have to signs and things like that. If you can't read it, it's of a sign on column that says "Bill Stickers Will Be Prosecuted" and to the side someone graffiti'd in "Bill Stickers is innocent". It still cracks me up, I absolutely adore it.

It's funny, silly, witty, and just the right amount of obnoxious. I kind of imagine some semi-drunk guy trying to post a bill on a wall and being told by a cop what's on the sign and then the guy's emphatic retort. Silly I know but I just love it for reasons I won't be able to fully explain.

Mine is a drawing I did of a transvestite superhero, who I later named "noid". Noid likes wearing lycra, and s/he is from space, so s/he obviously has an antennae [which you can't make out so well]. S/he's currently being ripped into a time-vortex, and I think s/he's not too impressed by this. In fact, I think s/he feels like the time vortex is just, well, wasting his/her time. Maybe s/he'll save the universe, if s/he can really be bothered. Perhaps I'll draw the next installment of this story for my next avatar?
