My mom actually used the "nice girls don't..." line on my eight-year-old sister today, referring to masturbation. I wanted to scream at her.

It's a pet peeve of mine, too. I was a bit wary since you used lots of exclamation points, 'sall. And yeah, my mom can be kinda fail, no offense taken.

heh heh... yeah, i suppose the exclamation points can be deceptive... i use them to death! i really talk like that, too, though. and once i use one, i feel like all the other sentences will be jealous if i don't end them with an exciting exclamation point too! (yes, this qualifies as a confession, i'm aware. it's getting back on topic!)

it's actually hard for me to leave even one sentence ended with a period. (thus the ellipses... ;) )

@shiny: It's okay. I'm only repressed around my parents. I don't live anywhere near them anymore. The relatioship of Miss C's sexual expression goes something like this:

Confession: I've had a really hard time getting excited about school-related events. A lot of people make a huge deal out of them, but I just don't see why I couldn't have more fun some place else. People try to ask me something like, "what was your favorite part about high school?" Leaving, that's what. Don't get me wrong; I love the people I've met and the things I've done with them, but high school itself was a drag.

I would have quoted it as "to" if it had been fixed by the time I sigged it. Live with it.

Or not. I'm taking that sig down, anyway, because I plan to be away from the fora for an extended duration, and I'm going to use my sig as an away message. Read the sig for more details, when it comes up.

Confession: I feel kind of guilty that my housemates did all the cleaning yesterday, despite the fact that I'm the one who has done it consistently over the last year, including few particularly nasty jobs after unknown housemate was ill. And yet, I'm still annoyed at L for treating me like I've orchestrated / overseen the whole thing, and have clearly noticed that in dividing tasks he saved the easiest for himself, and is trying to get all the credit from everything else from me. If I say it once, I'll say it a thousand times - I'm not your mother. I also don't have a gold star to give you.

@SecondTalon:

What sort of shiny do you mean here? I'm assuming you mean something beyond the usual "Everything's shiny, captain."

Err, holding hands? Sometimes, generally when I'm nervous (which is. . . pretty much constantly)

And, laughing is hard. If I do any more than a giggle, or even make a protracted one, it starts to hurt.

:| None of those sound like happy peoples.

@Miss C: Recommend reducing the distance of nearest relative to 0, thus causing an indefinition error, with limitless possibilities for your freedom of expression! (as, obviously your equation favours small numbers over the large, and thus small numbers mean a greater distance)

I guess you mean no video sites? So here's the wikipedia.

The reference was to REM's "Shiny Happy People", to save further linkage.

I used to be incredibly happy with everything for some reason, around the time I posted alot in the highs and lows of your day thread saying there were no lows. At the moment I'm generally happy but not so annoyingly so I guess :P
