The Trooper rocks too
Of course their best album, by far, is still Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

Gah, I forget his name but it's right here
It's actually been getting popular as of late.

The flavor can vary depending on which show you see/listen to, but it's generally a strange fusion of many different genres. KÀ is more orchestral, while La Nouba has a blend of jazz, hip-hop, and even Klezmer at times. The music is very much a part of the show and not just a backdrop for the performers, so it's good on its own as well.

I just want to know how the hell cakewaffles are inappropriate.

They are a bit pop, but damned if they aren't my favourite band right now. This was the first song I ever heard by them, and was the best song from the previous album.

They are, at least, my favourite progressive rock band of these times.

Clip from La Nouba (Propel and Jardin Chinois on the album)
'Battlefield' from KÀ

Sounds closer to Jack's Mannequin than Ben Folds to me. *Shrug*.

YES. In Our Bedroom After The War was an amazing album. I especially liked Take Me To The Riot; that change from 4/4 to 5/4 was so subtle it was scary.
That other band you vouched for, North Atlantic Oscillation, was also pretty damn good. Got any other recommendations?
