Well the Hyde Park component of the experience had to be called off due to inclement weather.
Moo, Felltir and myself had a good chinwag in a Sam Smiths, applied an 'Actual Size' sticker or two (good thinking Moo, I've already applied two of the three you gave me, including one on the physiology chart of a newly qualified doctor... god help the NHS) and ate unhealthy foodstuffs.
Moo hopefully has a pic for the sea of memes, that was 'where?' followed by 'buckets?' quite literally, taken on Oxford Street. So I guess that'd fulfill "Pix Pls or it didn't happen" criteria.
An evening well spent I think, it was nice to meet Felltir and good to chat with Moo again. We were saying we should make a regular date either monthly or every two months to do this sort of thing and make it less of a crapshoot.

Thats my two quid anyway.

I'd be rather up for the next one. Hopefully I'll be a bit more familiar and less of a stranger around here by then.

Did anyone go to the Scientology protests at St. Pauls and Tottenham Court Road today? T'riffic fun, even if standing around all day in trousers that were too tight has taken it's toll. In typical fashion, this was only noticed retrospectively. Erm, anyway, yes. Saw someone in a 'I know regular expressions' shirt, and also someone in a 'no raptors' shirt. I shouldn't find it surprising or that 'significant' at all, but still... it's kinda like hearing a favourite song on the radio despite the fact that you've heard it an exaggerateable number of times. In a roundabout way.

Rambling. Less.

We did a great job. Lots of chanting and pointing and "We have cake! They have lies!"

Oh, and you know how The Scientology centre on Tottenham Court Road has next to it, a small casino, and a KFC? All together now:

Big fat cult, big fat cult, ken...tuckyfriedchicken and a big fat cult!
Ca-si-no, ca-si-no, ken...tuckyfriedchicken and a big fat cult!

Though the scientolo-gits were being boring and hiding in their pillow fort like pansy-arsed gophers.

Indeed, I think a fun time was had by all. I just regret that we couldn't temporarily vandalise more things with stickers (I didn't make enough) or googly eyes (coulndn't find any by the time I thought of it*). Good to see electoralfraud again and meet Felltir; just goes to show that xkcdans are cut from the better subset of people.

We should definitely make a standing arrangement.

All the pics came out really really crap but I'll see if I can clean them up a tad.

A fun time WAS had by all. I recently used mine on a giant coke can, a midget freind of mine, and a giant breast.

Good to meet you both, and a standing arrangement ought to be made.

Update!

I will be in London from the 30th to the 5th. Any day apart from the 2nd should be fine. Who wants pints and food? Yes, I know, pubs aren't the only place etc blah blah, but I like pubs.

Greenwich Beer & Jazz festival today!

I'll be there, wearing this t-shirt, weather permitting.

Come join me and we'll enjoy jazz and beer together. Although if there's beer involved, by the time you get to me, aforementioned t-shirt will most likely be swung around my head, and I may (just may) be saying 'woo!' a lot.

Hurrah, it was so much fun. I need to go to more of these things. There was jazz, and there was beer, and there was ale and cider and bottles and lager and wines and spirits and mixers and did I say cider? because there was cider and cider was had by all.

New Forest Vintage Kingston Black Cider; like being kicked in the teeth by a fizzy mule. It took one pint of this thick, syrupy, furry, tangy, brown slop to make everybody in the circle very, very happy with the world. And the happiness lasted all evening.

Well if festivals is what you desire - a friend of mine is running a food stall at the London Thai Food Festival in Battersea Park on Sunday, to which I am going. It's a bit of a trek for us but I love Thai food and I want to support my friend (who makes yummy yummy food).

I, too, will be early.

My appearance:
  • White work shirt (creased)
  • Black, pinstriped trousers (creased)
  • Cheap glasses (with arms like biros)
  • Black shoes (scuffed)
  • Hair (bedraggled)
  • Face (equivalent of bed-head for hair)
  • Posture (slumped)
  • Teeth (yellowed)
  • Chin (ginger'd, unshaven stubble/bumfluff combo)
  • Drink (ale, or something stiff)

Yup, I'm looking a real catch today.
