I think we should probably make a lynch soon. I bet by the time I wake up Tigion/Kellsbells will have implemented a time limit.

I haven't really got a clue who, though.

I'd hope / expect that the limit would be at least 24 hours from when it was set.

If I absolutely had to vote right now, it'd either be nebuduck or wombat. Probably nebuduck.

But I'm content to wait until I see what unfolds tomorrow...

Also, just for the record, if I get lynched, the person I think acted most suspiciously so far is still Gojoe.

Well, no. The person I think acted most suspiciously so far is me. And then Gojoe.

So them's my two cents. It's up to you folks if you want to pay any attention to my suspicions.

Of course you may ask. I think it may have been the switching your view of my proposal. You were then very quick to go from a FoS to a vote for me, when nothing really changed (I just confirmed that I couldn't find the quote, which is what I'd said before hand).

But yeah, that's all.

I don't know if I will get voted off or not.

I'm not going to say "If I die and I turn out to be a townie, lynch Gojoe" - that's stupid. I know some people do it, but I don't think it's worth it - Gojoe could have made an honest mistake. That's why I haven't voted for him, yet - I'm not sure enough to want to vote. I'm not one for just retaliation voting.

I am simply wishing to record - for posterity's sake - that I believe Gojoe is a raptor. Basically, so that if it turns out to be true, I'll be able to say "Told you so."

I have yet to make up my mind on a time limit. I'm going to gently mod-prod the non-active people, as well.

Also, be aware:
Starting in two hours, I will be gone for seven hours. Hopefully Tigion will cover for me if any excitement goes down whilst I'm away.

sorry for not posting anything in a while, it's just been hectic around here. so i read over thread, and welcome back Wombat, and i find that Nebuduck is slightly suspicious, but that's probably because he has managed to win by getting the town to lynch the cop, so i have to make sure that what he is saying is actually true, and not just him playing us like a puppet.

Interesting exchange between Gojoe and Nebuduck.

I realize this will bite me back if Nebuduck dies and turns up to be Mafia, but it's a risk I think I have to take right now:
I think Nebuduck is a plain townie.

The quotation he couldn't find about Gojoe has been given as an important reason why someone should suspect Nebuduck. I don't buy it. Certainly he does play many games and it could be an honest mistake. But he would know how suspicious it would be to openly admit that mistake.

He also doesn't seem to be very resistant to being lynched. Were he a town power role, especially the Paleontologist, he would certainly know he needs to put up more of a fight to avoid being lynched. I think he's will to sacrifice himself if he needs to because he is a townie:

Nebuduck wrote:Meh, no luck. Sorry, guys, I can't quell your suspicions. I think I would vote for myself, under the circumstances, given no better option, so I can hardly blame you.

If these arguments make sense, we should probably go back to one of the lurkers as a prime suspect instead of Nebuduck. At the same time, I don't think that Nebuduck would be the worst target for a lynch, we have about the same probability to hit a town power role as a raptor at random, and if he is a townie we won't be totally screwing ourselves over. Still I think we can do better than lynch Nebuduck.

Another possibility is he is a less important Tribe Role (the Tribesman or the Recruiter, both of whom can be replaced unlike the Witch Doctor) who is trying to protect someone he knows is more powerful than him (the Witch Doctor, or the Recruiter if he's the Tribesman). That explains the some sudden shift in his actions this game.

Undoubtedly someone will bring up the possibility that Nebuduck is just trying to WIFOM and I'm falling into his trap. While I recognize this as a possibility, I don't think he anticipated that anyone would pick up on what he was saying and defend him. It would after all be much easier to see the very first layer that he's being suspicious and not defending himself much so we should lynch him then to see beyond it. So I don't believe this argument is very likely to be true.

Anyway, I think that the most suspicious person so far is Gojoe. I have a feeling I might not be lynched, so it might be worth voting. I want to move the game along too, so:

While I think Nebu is innocent, I do have to say his arguments against Gojoe seem fairly weak. Did what Gojoe say seem slightly suspicious? Sure. But he's contributing alot, and there will be a lot of possibilities to analyze him tomorrow depending on who we lynch and what happens tonight. The same can't be said about the lurkers. Still I'd rather vote for Gojoe than vote randomly for a non-lurker at this point.

Especially with attached cryptic comments such as above.

I think its your first game, so I'm not going to vote for you (yet).

Explain your vote to us. Part of the fun of this game is persuading others.

He didn't admit it until after MAJ caught him out. Although this was only five minutes later. Once this happened, admitting it was the least suspicious course of action he could take.

Hmm.

Personally, I think Nebuduck made an honest mistake. He does have a lot of Mafia games on his plate at the moment.
Though Gojoe doesn't seem too suspicious either. He's been attacked unfoundedly, and when someone is under scrutiny like that they lash out at the nearest suspicious person.

I hate having so many experienced players.

*sigh* Never go away on trips when you're playing mafia...This thread grew like 5 pages since I've been gone. :(

Anyways: personally, I always find both Nebuduck and Gojoe suspicious, so I don't feel I can really comment objectively on their exchanges in this thread. :P So I won't, for now.

I think Cycoden is the scummiest person, by far. I am way too lazy to go back and find all the many suspicious things that he has said, but he's accused quite a lot of people willy-nilly for practically no reason and has been all over the place with weak arguments.

Looking at the thread, I do not find either Nebuduck or Gojoe suspicious. However, I do agree with cycoden on the fact that it's strange for Wombat to lurk, then come in and randomly post a vote on someone without providing any reasoning. It seems like someone trying to vote for someone perceived as suspicious to try and hide their vote on a bandwagon, or post it so it looks like a random/joke vote. In fact, both posts he has had in here have been votes with absolutely no rational, on Bulvox for "being a bulvox" and Nebuduck because "Ducks look like raptors vaguely." I find that pretty scummy.
