A couple of my friends from uni are on the manifest organising commitee I think, but I wasn't planning on going. Mainly due to not actually watching anime much. Also I'm going to go to the magic the gathering prerelease.

Flinders Street steps are always easy enough. Public transport a-plenty, easy for those unfamiliar with melbourne, and places to sit/clocks to tell time. How about there at 12:00 noon?

Haha! If nice shirt, waistcoat, and pocket watch is an absence of style; I wish to see 'dressing elegantly' now. Though I doubt there will be opportunity for that as the weather warms up, as I expect it would involve more layers of clothing.

Sadly this is true. Though going out of an evening can still be a high class event.

People! I've been thinking that, once my exams are over, I would very much like to have a meetup and once again see all your lovely faces. It's been far too long. I was thinking any of the last 3 weekends in November (15th-16th, 22nd-23rd, 29th-30th), whichever of those suits the most people. I know it's a bit far from now, but these things tend to have more participants when there's more notice, so I figured what the heck I'll suggest it now.

We also have an #xkcdian visiting Melbourne, who would like to catch the meetup. He'll be here until the 3rd of December and would like some advice on interesting places to visit in Melbourne. I live all the way out in Frankston, so I'm somewhat lacking in city smarts, but hopefully with the group of us we can think of some hip and happenin' places to send this cool cat. or something.

Anyway, how does that sound to everyone?

Firstly, sounds good, but I prefer not the 29th/30th as I'm going to a lan that weekend. Morning or afternoon on the 29th would work I suppose. Earlier I'll still be in the exam period but thats not a huge deal.
