Powerballs

Postby wst » Thu Nov 13, 2008 6:30 pm UTC

These are addictive little thangs. Anyone else got one? I got mine mainly for stress relief, but it should be also good for improving my grip and wrist strength :D
Just working on being able to consistantly hit 8000 rpm in bursts and 'idle' at 6000, then I'll take the figures up 2000 each ;)

Info clicky

Powerballs are fun. My max on my current ball is 8111 rpm. But usually I only lie around 7000 rpm somewhere.
But they are wicked fun. Mine got a light that gets brighter the faster I get it going so it plays very nicely on my fascination for shiny things.

The fastest I've ever gotten one to go was a tiny bit over 10000 rpm, but I'm thinking that was just a fluke since I've never managed to get it to go that fast ever since. It was during a competition though so the timing was awesome, didn't win anything however since some other dude came in after me and got over 11000 rpm :/

But yea, powerballs are nice, I play with them mostly for fun though. I don't really know if they actually do all that much as they claim they do when it comes to the work-out side. Do anyone have any real data on this btw? It would be nice to know.

wst, I don't think that link goes to what you think it goes to. Anyone have a link to show what these things are? I initially just wanted to make a post about having a pair of powerballs myself, but now I'm legitimately intrigued by the topic of the thread.
Totally not a hypothetical...
