Is it entirely Aerosmith songs, or just focused on them primarily? It might be 50/50 or something.

Guitar Hero : Iron Butterfly

It's work. I mean, Sure, it's just In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Once. But it'd be impressive for someone to get eighty bajillionzillionquintillion points on it. Once.

Once is enough.

Such would be the high point of human civilization. Everything else would be rubbish.

Given that you refer to the high point of civilization, I think you mistyped "Pink Floyd" ;-)

(I also heard rumblings of speculations of a Guitar Hero: U2, though I don't know if anything will come of it or where it stands now. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If I think of U2, I don't think of it having particularly notable guitar parts. There are some isolated spots, but overall? No. Now Rock Band: U2 would be pretty awesome if they choose the right songs.)

Agreed on the first, not on the second. They do actually have a lot of great guitar work in their stuff, but since Bono has such a strong/distinctive voice, it's usually not highlighted. And they've certainly got enough work to fill a game, though you'd have to pretty much skip over Zooropa entirely.

Guitar Hero: Emo FTW.

On a serious note, I don't quite think a GH game based entirely around one band would be a bad idea, but I think that Aerosmith may not be the band they're looking for. Maybe Metallica, or Pink Floyd, but not Aerosmith.

Something about Aerosmith and GH just doesn't quite mix for me. It feels to me like going that path might be a bit more risky, but like I said, it's just a feeling.

Trombone hero should be fun. It wouldn't be as difficult as you might think: a real trombone only has 7 positions (most of the time), and the game version could have fewer depending on difficulty. It could even light up when you're in the right spot.

Not sure what you'd do about the mouthpiece though... could get icky :)

GH: Aerosmith seems like an ideal candidate to rent for a weekend, use an unlock cheat to have some fun with the good songs, and then move on. I can't see paying full price ($40+) for it and dedicating more than ~10 hours to it.

Now this scenario I can see (and fully get behind), but simply not making it? I feel like they're a better bet for a "game" than the Stones simply because their stuff is harder, which GH seems to lean towards.

If the songs in the game are as easy as "Dream On" which they put out for free over the weekend, I don't want it. I five-starred it on Hard the first time through and I'm really not all that good.

The ever-pretentious Black Plaid. The only issue is that my "band" never practices the song until the moment that they're on stage, and they have to go through the song a few times. The guitarist looks at his guitar like it's the poor machine's fault.

Same thing happens to me. Sigh. The game is so fun tho' that it doesn't really matter.

Thank goodness the game keeps you playing despite frustration on the last couple of tiers. "Cult of Personality" whipped me around for the better part of an hour last night until my arm was so cramped I could barely hold my toothbrush. I had thought that the Slipknot song was obnoxious but I've never had an encore beat me up before.

I just heard that GH:Aerosmith isn't going to be all Aerosmith, all the time. It's going to feature Aerosmith, along with every band that has opened for Aerosmith.

GH1 and then 3- is an offensive word and then the word bus.

you might say it looks like ***bus.

It was created back in college when a friend made a disparaging remark about having a party at my apartment and said "oh great, all aboard the ***bus."

GH3 is in the mail. I'm thinking Origami Dinosaur. Or The Juggling Housewives, according to a band name generator I just used.

Or possibly Moe And The Lawns, which is a reference to a hilarious video on Youtube that I doubt anyone will get... :(

I dunno, maybe his band name literally is "***bus"? I'm not sure if you can put asterisks in band names in GH... but maybe? But then there's the fact that this friend apparently actually said it aloud, and I have no idea how you pronounce "***".

Also, I haven't got a band together yet, but my singer's name on Rock band is Aleril (big surprise) and I have covered him in a shitload of light blue and white stuff (I am going for a band that represents elements, mine being wind/ice.)
