Either you counted wrong or your heart rate monitor is bad at its job, cuz theres no way you got your HR to 250

It's not impossible, just highly highly improbable. Especially if they are out of shape. Counting the beats per 10 seconds and timing by 6 is an indication of low, medium, high and very high! at best since it's so inaccurate

He might have calculated his pulse to be 250...but it wasn't. Its called tachycardia at that point and he'd need a good electric shock to re-establish sinus rhythm if his pulse was actually at 250. Faulty calculation =/= pulse @ 250.

I did only count for ten seconds, so it is admittedly not all that accurate. My heart rate was disgustingly high though.
